Sayain Good-byes
A fanfic by Liz Errico
prologue
With a snarl, Vejita-Ouji charged at his opponent, a man double his size.
The man attempted to duck, but he was too slow. The prince's kick connected
with the man's chest, sending him flying into a wall. The fight was over.
Vejita laughed as the older sayain slowly stood up.
"A little too tough?" he chided.
"Brat, if you were not the heir, you would have been dead long ago. It's
lucky for you your father would never allowed me to fight you at full power.
You wouldn't have lasted a minute. Now go."
Vejita looked in amusement at his trainer. He knew the man was lying,
but it was in his best interests right now to humor him. If the trainer
happened to mention to his father how that he had been disrespectful, the
king would never allow him to go off planet. As he walked out the door, he
thought of his upcoming meeting with his father. If all went well, he would
never have to fight this weak fool again.
As the prince left the room, the trainer slowly got up and dusted himself
off. It was truly degrading to go through that every day. Sighing, the man
walked over to the communication panel embedded in one wall. After a few
moments, the face of the king's adviser, Nappa, appeared on screen.
"Altair, what was the status of today's session? "
"Nappa, it didn't even last a minute. That boy defeats me every day.
It's humiliating! When are you going to transfer him to ......"
"Baka!! That is classified information. I should never have told you,
but since I did, be sure you never mention it to any one. Including me!!"
Nappa paused a moment, regaining his composure. " Besides, the boy will be
....moved... soon enough. The king informed me that the negotiations are
almost over."
Altair stared at the other man, looking worried. "Do you think this is a
good idea? Sending him to train off planet, especially there, seems
dangerous. It's too risky for my liking"
Nappa looked sharply at the other man. "No, personally, I would not do
this, but who am I to judge the king. What this decision brings, .... only
time will tell."

BTW if any one thinks Nappa is out of character, well I decided that to be
the king's adviser, you couldn't be an idiot. The Sayai-jin will not be
portrayed as idiots in this fic because you have to be somewhat intelligent
to run an empire. Thanks- Liz
