Well, I've followed this story, and have finally formed an opinion on it.
I find it interesting how you have Darien make use of extremely flowery, rather overblown
prose. It strikes me that he's trying to pass himself off as some sort of tragic romantic hero,
torn between two loves.
It helps to hide the fact that, in my eyes, he's basically acting like a two-timing creep who
doesn't have the guts to break up with his girlfriend, while seeing one of her best friends on
the side.
His statement that he's dated multiple girls before is very telling.
I'm wondering where this is all heading, and hope the creep (Darien) finally gets what's coming
to him. He can hide behind romantic prose all he wants, but he's still a louse.
