I just uploaded two new pages to my website. One is for those of you
with 17" or larger monitors and the other for those of you with 15" and
smaller monitors. Both pages include music in Quicktime format. I use QT
instead of MP3 for quality vs file size issues. The original file was 30
megabytes, the file now on my website is 420k with very good quaility.
It is however, a monaural track.

The Quicktime player is available for free and a link to get it is
provided at the bottom of this message. You will need to set your
graphics card to thousands of colors, preferably millions, or "true"
color to get a good look at this piece. I did not bother with a 256k
pallette. If you are a Macuser running QT3.0, you will need to upgrade
your player to the 4.0 version.

The picture came from the Ranma1/2 Project site: Volume 30 Page 103.
Scanned by the Ranma1/2 Project team. I loaded it into Photoshop and
colorized it. I am rather pleased with the overall result, at least with
the way it appears on my computer/monitor/browser combination. Please
let me know if your machine does not render it well.

The music is an excerpt from Orff's, Carmina Burana: O Fortuna! After I
actually studied the line art (drawn by Rumiko Takahashi of course),
this piece of music began playing in my head. It took me a while to
remember the title. Anyway, I did finally remember the title, found it
on one of my CD's, re-engineered the track for play over the web and
wha-lah! They now reside together on the web as they should. Total load
time will run you between five and ten minutes. dependent upon the
vagaries of the WWW in general, and your equipment in particular.

Yes, this picture has inspired an important part of Spreading Wings and
I am writing on that bit today. It will be in Part II. Mean of me I
know, but I could not easily fit it into Part I. Meanwhile, if you take
in what is available today, I do not think you will be disappointed.

Please e-mail me privately with any problems with the site or comments
on the rendering.

Thank you for your time and attention,

Don Granberry.
