Folks, please don't start spamming up the list with debate over that
copyright and fanfiction FAQ.
The bottom line of it is, everyone on the FFML knows exactly how (il)legal
it is to write fanfiction. We've known it since the list came into being.
And obviously, since we're all still here, nobody is overly concerned, or
even particularly cares. I don't see Rumiko Takahashi suing anybody on this
list. I don't see Naoko Takeuchi or Anno Hideaki suing anybody.
So until some prolific fanfiction writer goes down hard at the hands of one
of the head cheeses, let's not waste too much time and effort bandying this
beast around, alright? Concentrate on more important things. Like blatantly
violating copyright law by writing fanfiction. :P
