Note: This fic is just something I came up with in one of my
many endless musings. I have lots of stories on tap but I'll stick to
this one for as long as I can so I don't get side tracked. This fic may
contain material of a mature or offensive nature. I curently have no
plans to make this a lemon or anything but I like to warn you ahead of
time. This will not be a dark fic, I don't like em much so I will not
write one. Anyway this is currently a melding of Ranma 1/2 and Sailor
Moon. This story picks up before Ranma visits the Tendo Dojo in
Ranmaverse and just after Sailor Moon S in... errr Sailorverse? There
are changes made to both timelines and they will be discused later. I'm
going to use both manga and anime aspects as I see fit but I will not
use the english Sailor Moon names. Anyway tell me what you think. As
of now this fic does not have a web site but that will probably change
soon. Enjoy the fic (please).

//        Time:  Present
//        Place:  Tokyo Japan, Earth

Saotome Nodoka sat in the livingroom of her modest Tokyo home
wearing the very best of her many formal kimonos. This was a very
special night for this very lonely woman. The weather outside was a
moderate 25, a few sparse clouds dotted the dark sky obscuring what few
stars could be seen beyound the bright lights radiating from the urban
spral that is Tokyo. A light breeze wafed in through a few open windows
stiring the elegant window coverings and causing the candles set before
Soatome Nodoka to flutter and stir but not quite extinguish. None of
these things were noticed by the room's sole occupant as none of them
made this night special. That which did make this night so different
from the many many others that Nodoka spent alone in this very same room
was hundreds of kilometers away... no, not quite, should she wish it
the object to make this night so special sat just a few centimeters
before her. The grandfather clock in the hall chimed 12:00am but Nodoka
paid it no mind, not because it didn't matter to her but because she
allready knew the time... in fact the clock was actually 2 minutes 37
seconds slow, Nodoka made a note to fix that later. Saotome Nodoka knew
exactly what time it was for that was at the very cusp of why she sat
alone in this quiet, oh so quiet house. Tonight marked the last chance
she would have to change the corse of destiny. In exactly 7 hours 40
minutes and 22 seconds that chance would end. 7 hours might seem to be
a long time to just sit and wait for something kilomers and kilometers
away, that is it might seem like a long time until one considers that
this moment marked the 9th hour, 11th minute, and 30th second that
Saotome Nodoka sat in this very room and this very place waiting,
waiting to decide what made this night so special, that which was
several hundred kilometers away to the west or that which was a few
centimeters before her. She had a choice to make tonight, one that she
had pondered since long before she set this nights events in motion.
She prepared for this decision in the best possible fasion. The finest
kimono she owned was being worn for the first time 16 years 2 months 3
days 6... NO!... she had to stop doing that. No one else measured
time in tenths of a second and neither should she. It had been a long
time since she wore this kimono. She had forgoten exactly what happend
that day, sure she knew the events, but the specifics were fuzzy. She
could find out though, she could just reach forward and take hold of the
small object before her and find out, yes that's it and after she did
that she could do other things like... like change the destiny she had
set in motion... No, that wasn't right, if she was going to make that
change she would do it truthfully, she would not, could not hide behind
false pretenses. She still had 7 hours 2 minutes and 40 seconds left to
make the decision properly. She had planed on ending this torment long
ago by making up her mind and simply allowing the events to unfold as
the had been set out to long ago. She had planed to forget about it and
just let it happen. These things were supposed to be easy, they were
always so easy before. The decisions she had made in that past were all
so very easy. What had to be done had to be done there was no grey,
there was no turning back. She had planed todays events many many years
ago and had no problems with them then. That all changed 16 years 3
months 6 days 2 hours and 29 seconds ago. At that moment so many things
changed for Saotome Nodoka. That was the moment her only child was
born. That tiny, innocent, defensles child changed everything. Now
things weren't so simple. Now Nodoka was nearing the point of no return
and she wasn't so sure her plans should be allowed to go forward.

Soatome Nodoka sat in the livingroom of her modest Tokyo home
wearing the very best of her many formal kimonos. In front her sat a
small table. On that table sat 2 candles. Between those candles sat a
small picture of a small boy. In front of that picture sat a small
object not easily discribed in a dictionary. It is a small metal object
in the shape of a long cylinder about 18 centimeters long. The boy in
the picture looked to be about 5 years old and had dark hair. The boy
in the picture was many hundreds of kilometers away the small
cylintracal object was not, and yet it may as well have been for Nodoka
could not bring her self to touch it for fear that if she did she would
not be able to put it down until she did something she knew that should
not be done. The sun was just starting to trickle in through the window
now. Nodoka now had 1 hour 37 minutes and 16 seconds left. She knew
she was putting it off, putting off making one of the most important
decisions of her life, a decision that should have been final long long
ago but 16 years 3 months 5 days 19 hours 57 minutes and 26 seconds ago
that changed. Her last chance to change that decision was now apon her,
what would she do? She had no idea what she would do. Her eyes were
dry and her heart was calm and she didn't know why. She was not used to
not being able to know exactly when what and why something was to
happen, this time was different though. This was a special night, a
night of no return, no turning back, no more thinking about what
dicision to make. She should be a wreck, but no, she was calm,
emotionless. It was as if she was spending all her time here bottling
up the emotions she knew must be raging just inside her heart. This was
nothing new though, she was used to sealing away her emotions for the
greater good. Once long ago she had done so on a grand scale and
allowed the sacrifice of many innocent lives. Many times long ago she
had done so on a moments notice and sacrificed many couragous lives.
She didn't know how she knew, but somehow Saotome Nodoka knew that this
time was different, this time she was having to second guess herself...
she had never second guessed herself before. A decision is to be made
soon, One very near and on such a miniscule scale it does not even
compare to the gradure of the past... or does it? In 1 hour 2 minutes
and 3 seconds that decision will have been made. Will it be to allow
things to happen as they were set out to or will it be to take that
object on the table in front of her and change things. The mind of
Saotome Nodoka told her to let things be, her heart told her to change
things.

        9 years... 9 years 7 months 4 days 1 hour 39 seconds ago
Nodoka's husband Saotome Genma took Nodoka's son Saotome Ranma on a
"training mission." A journey that was only supposed to take 1 year,
then 3, then 5, then Genma just stopped writing. It wasn't as though
Nodoka didn't know when that trip would finally end, it was just that
she wished that she didn't know. Maybe then this night... day now
wouldn't be so painful. Today was not the day of her husband and son's
return, no today was much more important than that. The grand
father clock rang out 7:00am. Nodoka now had 40 minutes 22 seconds
left, now the hours were over, just as the days ended, just as the
months ended, just as the years ended, soon the minutes would end as
well. The day was starting out to be one of the best in many weeks, the
early fog was lifting, the birds were stiring, the sky was
brightening... Nodoka hated this day. Today her husband was on the
last leg of his training mission with her son... her son... Nodoka
almost let a chuckle as she thought of the english pun she could use...
she almost chuckled but did not. Instead she simple stared. She stared
at the picture in front of her just has she had been for the past 16
hours 19 minutes and 50 seconds. Yes 32 minutes and 2 seconds from now
her son will fall, not figurativly, but literaly. Ranma was going to
fall into a small shallow pool of water and his life will like hers
never be the same again. That could all be changed in an instant
though. Or more precisly 5.872 seconds, but Nodoka had allready figured
that into her calculations, she couldn't help but to do so for it was in
her nature. Just as the sometimes disorientating visions she had or the
not quite sight, not quite premenition ability. It all came with the
job, now that she thought about it, did she actually apply for this job?
<Well> Nodoka pondered, <I suppose I didn't, I wasn't given a choice,
and neither am I giving a choice to my child, I'm making it for him.
Will he ever forgive me? Will he even still love me, or have I lost
that too?> 9 minutes left. 540 seconds. 539 seconds. 538 seconds.
<Oh how I wish I didn't know how many seconds, I wish I could just stop
knowing for the next 525 seconds.>

Soatome Nodoka sat in the livingroom of her modest Tokyo home
wearing the very best of her many formal kimonos. In front her sat a
small table. On that table sat 2 candles. Between those candles sat a
small picture of a small boy. The boy in the picture looked to be about
5 years old and had dark hair. In front of that picture sat a small
object not easily discribed in a dictionary. It is a small metal object
in the shape of a long cylinder about 18 centimeters long. Saotome
Nodoka slowly reached forward for the small cylintracal object as she
ticked away the seconds in her head. 341 seconds. In the moring light
a small stylized "P" can been seen on a spherical shape at one end of
the cylander. 300 seconds left and Saotome Nodoka's fingers were now a
mere 3 centimeters from the object and there they stopped and began to
shake. 200 seconds left and Saotome Nodoka's fingers were now a mere 2
centimeters from the object. 199 seconds, 198 seconds, 197 seconds, 196
seconds. After nearly 1000 years of planing it now all came down to 190
seconds. 189 seconds. The others need this, she needs this, the world
needs this, all of creation needs this, so why is it so hard to just do
nothing? 170 seconds, a decision must be made in 169 seconds. 2
minutes warning. 120 seconds. What is there left to thing about? Why
not just decide? Why not just do or don't do? "I am Saotome Nodoka, I
am the senshi Sailor Pluto, I am the guardian of time." 100 seconds and
Nodoka's fingers are now 1 centimer from her henshin stick. 99, 98, 97,
96... 61, 60, 59. Now the minutes just as the hours and days and
months and years and centurys are over, now only seconds remain, 54
seconds. Almost in morbid facination Saotome Nodoka held out her
trembling hand 1 centimeter from change and tick off the seconds. 44,
43, 42, 41, 40...

Saotome Nodoka sat in the livingroom of her modest Tokyo home
wearing the very best of her many formal kimonos now torn and shreded.
In front her sat a small table now crushed to splinters. In the remains
of that table sat 2 broken candles. At Saotome Nodoka's knees now
touching them having lost its former place on the table sat Sailor
Pluto's Henshin stick now all but forgotten. Finally clutched to the
feverishly crying woman's breast, jelously gaurded and unseen by even
the most observant of onlookers is a small picture of a small boy
with dark hair who is hundreds of kilometers away in the west. A
decision has been made, 37 seconds ago in the modest home of Saotome
Nodoka a keening wail was heard as a long awaited for deadling was
reached. Only a mother would know what was truly meant by that primal
cry. That wail after being translated into something less resembling
emotion and more in the words of man simply stated; regret.

deadline she has been sitting there; that deadline past 6 hours 40
minutes 17 seconds ago. 18 seconds, 19, 20...

Well what did you think? This is a pretty rough draft so please excuse
the spelling and grammer errors, but if you see any that really bother
you tell me and I'll fix it in latter editions (if any). Tell me what
you think (especially if you like it) but please no flames, I pretty
much ignore them anyway so don't waste your time. ThanX for reading.
