David Johnston:
Ok...sure...but so what? It's not going to screw up Elijah's
marriage
prospects. He's not an undercover operative.
Well, he is a plainclothes detective, but that's not the important
part. as for marriage prospects... he's already married. he is presumed
dead though, that might screw up his relationship with Jessie.
It's a wee bit disconcerting for the poor fellow, I admit, but what's
the big deal?
See bottom of message
Now that I think about it though, aren't there certain similarities
between Elijah/Daneel and Ross/Armitage?
Just saw one of the Armitage movies on scifi channel a couple weeks
ago, and i -kinda- see what you mean. Also, the particular one i saw
bore a LOT of resemblance to at least one of the situations in
CavesofSteel.
Well, except of course that Elijah never slept with Daneel...
Right.
so far as we know.
*spits soda on her keyboard* Well, we do know that humaniform robots
like Daneel are .ahem. fully functional [RobotsofDawn], but I don't
think Elijah swings that way.

Anonymous [not a direct quote, either] says that s/he sees no
connection, as the premises to the two series have no resemblance. S/He
says s/he really likes the Asimov series, and wishes me luck (probably
will need it)
See at bottom for explanation of "Original Flavor" tag

Anonymous [Words and Phrasing changed to cover my ass]
You must be careful with these books, lest you end up with another
"Bicentennial Man". It's too easy to ruin the works of an author such
as
Asimov.
I just saw bicentenial man, and the only thing that even reminded me of
Asimov was the three laws. which were in practice an inconsistent plot
device, and Andrew should by all rights have gone into roblock several
times during the movie.
Off-subject, did the advancement of technology from flying cars to
L-trains to hovercars to cars with wheels seem ass-backwards to anyone
other than me?
Good luck, it does look interesting. However, there's the possibility
of
a truly sick lemon scene. PLEASE don't pair Elijah with Daneel; at
least
not in that way.
Hadn't even considered it. you have a sicker mind than i. Don't worry,
i won't do that.
-------------------------------------
Okay. the "Original Flavor" tag means i am putting Elijah [and any
other characters and/or descendants] into new and different situations
then in any other series. the temporal difference alone prevents a true
crossover, and this is definitely NOT a fusion.
By the way, i think i may have had my figures wrong when i wrote "3500"
as the age of the nyannichuan. does anyone know how far in the future
the books take place?

Quote for the day:
"Just because someone lies on the internet is no reason to condemn
them. Who hasn't at some point, about some little thing. I know I have.
I'm also willing to bet my bottom dollar you have. I know that one's
nationality [if hypothetically one were to lie about his/her
nationality] can't realistically be considered a little thing"

you'know'who'she'is.
