I was recently reffered to this list by Mr. Ace... and I thought I'd give
this fanfic thing a shot. Here's my first try.
It's small, short, and written from an odd angle. Hopefully it won't bomb.
Enjoy.

Introduction
Throughout the course of a show, there are charecters introduced that stay with the plot
for the entire time the show is produced. But many charecters are there for only a short time.
Sometimes one episode, sometimes only a minute. These are the stories of those without
names.
For Want Of a Better Name:
The Stories of the Forgotten One Liners and
Other miscelanious Charecters.
Part One: The Rattata Kid
(Note: To fully understand this, you must see the episode with A.J., the Sandshrew trainer)
The battle was lost even before it began. And he knew it, as did his opponent.
This kid, Ash, he knew the battle was a sure win for himself. Yet, instead of graciously letting the young boy go without
a battle, this insensitive (no offense) creature decided he should show this young man what it feels like to lose. Really lose.
It was an incredibly short match; the young boy's Rattata was in horrible shape. As Ash went through
his standard victory pose, the boy seethed with anger, wishing he could wipe that stupid grin off Ash's face for good.
And yet, somehow he controled the rage building within himself. "That makes victory number ten!" Ash cried victoriously.
The young boy feigned excitement for Ash, but inside he was filled with a hatred for his victorious opponent.
Ash casually held his vest open, and the young man almost gagged. '
This bumpkin from no-where town thinks he can impress me with two lousy badges? HA!' But he had to keep up the deception.
"Wow!" he said, barely keeping the contempt and sarcasm from his voice. "You have badges!" Ash hardly seemed to acknowledge him.
"What, these?" Ash said haughtily.
"Wow!" the young man said, injecting what he hoped was a hint of excitement. "You have TWO badges!" he emphasized on the amount.
"Pretty impresive, eh?" Ash said, trying to sound high and mighty.
'Oh brother...' thought the kid. 'If A.J. wasn't paying me to lure these losers here...' "I bet you could even beat A.J.!" he said outloud.
But too himself, the thought 'Yeah, right...' "Where can I find this 'A.J.'?" Ash asked excitedly. And after much more
meaningless chatter, he sent the bumpkin and his compainions on their way. As Ash and co. walked out of site, the boy
allowed himself a small laugh, confindent in the knowledge that the blacked haired boy's ego trip wouldn't last much longer.
Quietly, he said "When A.J. pops your planet size ego, and you fall into the pit you've created, tell them I sent you."
He chuckled evilily, and went off in search of another gullible trainer to send A.J.'s way. Afterall, another shuck, another buck.
