Tell me some more about the history of what you skimmed over so I have a
better idea of I want to pick up the serie. I do like the neko part of
Ranma and i have some interesting ideas, but I need information on the death
of Genma and Jusenkyou you mentioned.<<
1) Ranma fell into the Spring of the Drowned Cat.<
2) His own altered form triggered the Nekoken, and in cat form he killed
Genma.<
In this world, Genma got the upper hand. He knocks Ranma into the Sring of
the Drowned Cat before Ranma can hit him into the Spring of the Drowned
Panda. When Ranma comes out, he's not only gone cat physically, but mentally
as well. The Nekoken and his inherent physical state (his body's in
excellent shape, even in cat form) greatly increase the amount of damage his
cat form can inflict, and since he connects Genma with some very negative
connotations (possibly, the effect is enhanced because he is aware it was
Genma who knocked him into the pool), his cat mind interprets the sight of
Genma as a very good reason to attack. Genma dies.
3) He remained in cat form for long enough to effectively cure his fear of
cats, and in doing so, he mastered the Nekoken.<
In cat form and under the influence of the Nekoken, Ranma fails to find out
about the cold water / hot water thing until months later, and he doesn't
come out of cat form because he doesn't happen to come across hot water.
I assumed that if Ranma was forced to spend enough time in the Nekoken, his
original personality would eventually bleed into the cat personality. Given
this postulate and a *lot* of time, Ranma's personality would eventually
become a merge of the two, in or out of Nekoken. Note, it's not a cure of
the Nekoken. It's a cure of Ranma's fear of cats. You cannot *truly* be
afraid of what you are.
We don't know the long-term effects of immersion into the Nekoken state.
This is an assumption based on the concept that all things decay . . .
4) He's spent about a year or so training and coming to terms with these
changes.<
A lot of it was spent wandering the Chinese country-side as a cat (remember,
Jusenkyo is WAAAY inland). Once his personalities began to merge, he started
heading east. The process completed itself just as he reached the coast.
He first learned about the nature of the curse by accident. Basically, in
one of the larger cities, probably Shanghai, a chef dumped some water he'd
used to boil vegetables out the back door and on to Ranma. A few moments
after, the process was reversed, but it served to teach Ranma how to turn
back into a human.
He spent a few more months getting used to being a human again. He made a
few revisions to the Nekoken, partly just to make it more efficient, but
mostly because he felt that the same style should be just as effective in
cat form as it was in human form (in cat form, some of the attacks just
aren't lethal enough to be of much harm to a human).
5) He's the reincarnation of Phobos. (Dot told me I should change the name,
since one of Rei's ravens already has this name. I'm not gonna bother
though. If Serenity's daughter is Serenity, then Phobo's adopted daughter
can be Phobos.) Back in the Silver Millenium, Phobos had been granted the
title Lord of the Cats, but fell into insanity soon afterwards. The Senshi
had been forced to seal him in a stasis chamber to prevent him from being a
danger to both himself and the people around him.<
Ranma's cat form didn't just give him the body of a normal cat. He's of the
same breed as Luna and Artemis. Based on the Sailormoon manga, Luna and
Artemis are essentially beings of magic. Being of the same nature, the magic
of Ranma's cat form corrupts the Jusenkyo magic (even though access to the
cat magic was given by the Jusenkyo magic, it derives its energy from
Ranma's soul, and therefore takes precedence). Essentially it allows a
rather great deal of control to his shapeshifting abilities (Luna and
Artemis have this ability as well. They just don't use it often.), and easy
resistance to water-inflicted change.
[The original Phobos was the greatest warrior among the members of Luna's
race. (And indeed among most other races in the solar system at the time.)
In abilities, he ranked about the same as any of the Senshi, and he was
given the honorary title "the Lord of Cats" because of this. He held no
actual government position, as the government in Luna's home civilization
was based on a family hierarchy system (the older you are, the more powerful
your authority is), but he was respected nevertheless. Under the orders of
the Moon Kingdom, he was sent primarily to hunt down dangerous criminals and
monsters.]
[His reputation amongst the outlaws of the Moon Kingdom incited an organized
revenge against him and his family. In his final assignment, a gang of
monsters led him away from his home, and then attacked the rest of his
family members while he was busy chasing them down. Upon finding his family
slaughtered, he went mad and began hunting down anyone related to the
criminals he had previously captured just in case they'd been involved.]
[The Senshi eventually captured him, but the damage he had done was done.
Several hundreds of people had died, and many more had been injured. Phobos
was tried and declared insane, then put into stasis until the Moon Kingdom
could find a way to fully cure him.]

6) Serenity's reincarnation spell had enough power in it to destroy the
stasis chamber and send him into the future.<
Born as Saotome Ranma, the reincarnated Phobos developed pretty close to the
Ranma manga canon until Jusenkyo. This means that Ukyou and Ryouga still
appear, though Ryouga is uncursed (Ranma wasn't there to knock him into the
Spring of the Drowned Pig) The Kunos are eliminated from the list of
possible characters unless they meet Ranma by some freak chance. Shampoo,
Mousse, and Cologne may still appear, since Ranma could have met them in
China after returning to human form. If they do, it's a Kiss of Marriage
from the beginning. The Tendos? They probably won't appear, as Ranma never
goes and meets them. Happosai? If he doesn't know where Ranma is, he
probably can't find him (unless his chi senses are a lot better than we're
led to think). He might come across his mother, though. Will she recognize
him? I don't know.
Ranma appears after all of the Senshi have joined the team. This implies
that he comes into the Sailormoon story (which is canon until up to this
point) a little after the Witches-9 and related baddies have fallen. He's
significantly stronger than any *single* Senshi.
Note: Ranma's not the villain in this story. He's just not all that friendly
*to anyone*. The only one who really thinks that he's a baddie is Artemis .
. . Villains appear according to the order they do in Sailormoon canon.
