Scenes from Assorted Forthcoming Fanfics,
With Musical Accompaniment from "Threepenny Opera".

From a tugboat
by the river

Koishikawa Miki sat outside the hotel room, feeling a panoply of emotions -- nothing unusual about the latter part for her. She felt sad, concerned and worried for her dear friend Akizuki Meiko, while at the same time being a bit irritated that her dear friend had locked her out of their hotel room while crying herself senseless. Add to this embarassment from the looks that the occasional passerby gave her, and the constant mixture of confused affection and jealousy that she felt even when she wasn't actively thinking about Matsura Yuu, and one has an idea of her emotional state.

She had just begun wonder about the various metallic and glass noises she'd heard from the room up until a few moments ago, when the door abruptly swung open.

Meiko looked out at her with unsteady eyes and a strange grin on her face. "Hiiii, Miki," she said, and hicoughed.

Miki blinked, repeatedly. "Meiko? What happenned?"

"Ohhhh. I foun' out that there was some stuff in 'at refrigerator thingie we was wonderin' about -- you 'member? -- and now I feel      *much* better." Her grin got wider.

Miki frowned, wrinkling as she finally noticed the strange odor that surrounded Meiko. "Um, Meiko ... you may feel better, but you ... you don't smell so good?"

The other girl stared at her blankly for a moment, and then a smile -- the smile of someone who has come up with a very crafty idea -- spread across her face. "Gee. You're right! Didden you say somethin' about us takin' a bath earlier?"

Miki blinked, again. "Well ... yes." If she didn't know better, she'd almost call Meiko's smile a leer.

Meiko seized her hands and pulled Miki to her feet, and began to drag her through the door. "So come on! Let's wash away our sorrows!"

"Well, all right." <She's in a good mood, at least.>

The door swung closed behind her.

    And locked.

The *Other* Bedroom Scene

Huouji Fuu was not a vindictive person, by nature, yet she did occasionally become angry and upset. Her mood was approaching that state as she walked through the night back to the tent-building of the three would-be Magic Knights.

<*Must* remember to discuss installing some sort of a bathroom inside this thing, when next we meet up with Mokona-san, or get a chance to speak with Clef-san,> she resolved as she walked up the stairs and opened the door, expecting to see Umi-san and Hikaru-san peacefully sleeping.

Need it really be stated that what she expected was not what she saw, and that what she saw in its place gave her a bit of a shock? However, Hikaru and Umi were no less startled.

"Um," said Umi when she realized that Fuu was standing on the threshold, staring in at them. "I suppose that it wouldn't do any good to claim that this isn't what it looks like?" she asked half-heartedly.

Fuu sternly stepped over the threshold, closing the door behind her. "You would be correct, Umi-san."

"We're sorry, Fuu-chan," Hikaru said, her head bowed and her hands removed from what they'd been doing to Umi. "We didn't mean to keep it a secret from you, but --"

"But what?" Fuu asked, sounding hurt. "Why didn't you invite me to join in? All for one and one for all!"

Umi blinked. "But ... Fuu ... what about Ferio?"

"Ferio-san is Ferio-san," Fuu replied simply. "He's nice, but Ferio-san is not here right now."

Umi quickly got out of bed and walked over to where Fuu stood, grabbing her in the same sort of sudden embrace that she was wont to use on Hikaru, only from the front. "Fuu," she said in a serious tone, "if you want to join us, we'd love to have you. But let me tell you right now, if you scream out `Umi-san' or `Hikaru-san' at the moment of climax, I'm going to have to do something drastic."

Fuu looked abashed. "I'll *try*," she said in an uncertain tone of voice.

-much later-

    "Umi-chan Umi-chan Umi-chan Umi-chan Umi-chan Umiii-chaaaaan!" Hikaru babbled.

"You don't object to *her* naming peculiarities," Fuu muttered with just a touch of pique in her tone.

Umi was too busy to reply.

The cement's just
For the weight, dear

"You know, I've been thinking that perhaps we ought to start using code names in our operations," Sylia Stingray mused as she ran her fingers through her long, white hair.

Priss Asagiri, seated beside her on the couch beside the swimming pool in Sylia's appartment, only grunted incuriously in reply.

"Yes ... we could call you ... `Sweetling', perhaps?" Sylia slowly stretched out a hand to run a finger down the back of Priss' neck, almost but not quite slipping down behind her jacket.

Priss turned and met her gaze for a few moments ... then nodded and began to pull off her jacket in a practiced motion.

"Wait, hold it, cut!" the *other* Priss Asagiri called out as she walked onto the set.

"What?" her ... well, not-quite lookalike asked in a tone just slightly more annoyed and weary than her usual.

"You're just going to hop into bed with her? Just like that?"

    "I'm horny."

The senior Priss growled. "Look, it's bad enough that you twerps replaced us on screen, where we couldn't do anything about what you did to our image! I'm not gonna let you ruin our image *here*, in fanfic, where we get to consult, at least! So you're gonna spend years in an angstful quandry over whether or not to open your defenses to Sylia like I did, and you're gonna like it! Am I clear?"

Her junior counterpart simply stared dully at her through her rant, and for a few moments afterwards. "You know," she finally commented, "it's true what they say. You are cute when you're angry."

    "Huh?"

"Some other time, Sylia," Junior Priss threw over her shoulder as she stood up and began to remove her jacket.

"What the hell are you douggh," Senior Priss snapped, until her junior began to show her a far more interesting thing to do with her tongue.

"Well. Poor me, dumped and alone," Junior Sylia murmured as she slowly turned and looked at where her senior counterpart was watching the proceedings with a detached expression. "What*ever* shall I do with myself?"

    "I'm ho-- MISATO-SAN?!?"

"Um, this isn't what it looks like," Asuka said. Misato, as it happened, was too busy to reply.
