Materials" Trilogy, originally published under the title "Northern Lights."

Prologue: Track 0.X
In the sliders series, one of Quinn's alternates created a "slidewave" device. This is being used as a plot device in my fic in
order to catalyze the XOver. The extreme gravitational anomaly caused by the device caused this: It interfered with the
teleportation of a Pokeball, forming a temporary one-way stable dimensional portal. The repercussions of that anomaly are covered in
this story.
Prologue: Track P
Ash had just caught a Krabby. He was celebrating this when suddenly there was a flash of light and the pokeball disappeared. Or
anyway, that was what was supposed to happen. What did happen was the pokeball started glowing as was normal for the teleport. Then
it started giving off sparks, and Ash dropped it. Too late. Ash and Pikachu disappeared in a flash of light.
They then found themselves standing in a Hot-air balloon.
Prologue: Track GC
Lyra bundled up with some more furs, as it was so cold.
In a flash of light, a young boy was suddenly standing in the middle of the balloon. It was clear that he had not planned on
this happening, as his only extra protection from the cold was a thin jacket.
CONVERGENCE
"Uh, hi there. I'm Ash Ketchum."
The cold took some time to travel through Ash's nervous system to his brain. It finally hit.
"AAHH!!!! COLD!!!!!!!"

Okay. I don't know where else to go with this. The situation is this:
Ash: Up in a hot-air balloon in the stratosphere in a dimension not his own. Extremely underdressed for the occasion, to say the
least. 7 Pokeballs: 5 containing Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Butterfree, Pidgeotto; 1 empty; and 1, hopelessly malfunctioning,
which may or may not have a Krabby inside.
Pikachu: Transported with Ash into the other dimension. Currently standing on floor of balloon next to Ash. Possibly jumps into
empty pokeball [his, btw] to get away from cold?
Any ideas for where to go from here?
