In this fic <> means thinking and ()means sound effects or stuff happening
in the scene.
(The scene is in a small college dorm where a young man who looks
about nineteen is watching tv. He stops watching the tv and picks up
the phone.)
Scott: <I think I'll order a pizza>
(He dials the phone and there is ringing)
Unkown: Thank you for calling the goddess help line we will be sending a
representative to you shortly.
(Scott looks at the phone and hangs it up)
Scott: <Man I've been reading to much Oh My Goddess If I actually heard
that.>
(Suddenly there is a strange glowing coming from his tv and out of it
comes Urd)
Scott: Whoa, I wasn't dreaming I actually did reach the goddess help
line.
Urd: My name is Urd and I'm here to grant you one wish. So what is it.
Scott: Just hypothetically, what would happen if I were to make up some
wish to be a god and come live with you, Skuld, Belldandy, and
Keichi.
Urd: Oh do you really wanna find out. It would be denied. That kind
of thing only happens by accident and to people who aren't really
trying.
Scott: Okay, well never mind that.
Scott: I wish to be in the world of Pokemon.
(Suddenly there's a bright light coming from the marks on Urd's forehead
as a bright flash of light comes down from the heavens and engulfs both of
them. When the light clears Urd is gone and Scott is standing in the
middle of a forest clearing.)
Scott: <Wow, it looks like it actually worked. Now all I have to do is
find the nearest town and see if I can become a pokemon trainer.>
(Scott wanders through the forest and several hours later comes upon a
town. There is a sign by the road that says Viridian City."
Scott: <It seems that I'm in Viridian City I guess I should find the
pokemon center.>
(After wandering through the city Scott finally comes upon the pokemon
center. After walking in he is greeted by Nurse Joy.)
Nurse Joy: Hi welcome to the Viridian City pokemon center how may I help
you.
Scott: This may seem a bit strange, but I'm new here and I was wondering
what I have to do to be a pokemon trainer.
Nurse Joy: Well I thought everyone knew how to be a pokemon trainer. Most
people start training pokemon when they're only ten and you
look like you're a lot older than ten.
Scott: Yeah, well I kinda got a late start so can I still become a
pokemon trainer.
Nurse Joy: Yes, you can, but I'm afraid that since you are so old you
won't be able to get a beginning pokemon for at least another
two months.
Scott: Well, can I still get a pokedex and some pokeballs.
Nurse Joy: Sure I'll sign you right up and I have a couple extra
pokeballs here that you can use.
(An hour later Scott walks out of the pokemon center with a couple of
pokeballs and a pokedex showing for anyone who cared that he was a pokemon
trainer.)
Scott: <Nurse Joy said that they won't be giving away any new pokemon for
at least two months. I guess that means I'll just have to catch
some pokemon on my own.>
(Scott walks around town and buys some supplies with what little money he
had in his pocket. He goes returns to the pokemon center after dark with
a backpack and with what appears to be a baseball bat strapped to the top
of it.)
Scott: Hey, Nurse Joy can I spend the night here.
Nurse Joy: Yes that's perfectly all right. All pokemon trainers can stay
at pokemon centers for free.
Scott: Thanks for the info.
(Bright and early the next morning Scott exits the pokemon center and is
heading towards the woods. He wanders aimlessly searching an easy catch.
He sits on a tree stump about halfway through the afternoon looking
dejected.)
Scott: <Man, who would have thought it would be so hard to find pokemon.
On tv they just seemed to come right up to you.>
(While contemplating this problem a rustle comes from the bushes and out
of it pops a jigglypuff.)
Scott: Oh cool a jigglypuff I've got to catch it.
(Scott is about to throws a pokeball at the jigglypuff and it is sucked
into the ball in flash of red light. The jigglypuff however escapes
almost instantly and starts to sing.)
Scott: Oh no now I'm gonna fall asleep.
(The jigglypuff sings for about a minute and it doesn't seem to effect
Scott at all)
Scott: <Why aren't I getting sleepy. This makes no sense. Unless maybe
because I'm from a different dimension it doesn't effect me.
Which means I can catch it while it's singing.>
(Scott puts down his back pack and unlashes the baseball bat from the top
of it. He then quietly sneaks over to the jigglypuff and smacks it over
the head with the baseball bat. There is a crunching sound and the
Jigglypuff is knocked unconscious. Scott then captures it in the pokeball
with no problem.)
Scott: Cool, I caught a jigglypuff. Now let's see I have one more
pokeball so I'll try to catch one more pokemon before going back
to town.
(Scott then searches the rest of the day for a pokemon, but doesn't seem
to find any it's almost dark and he's about to leave the forest when he
see's a clefairy eating a eating a peace of fruit.)
Scott: <wow, a clefairy I have no idea why it's here, but I'm gotta try
and catch it>
(Scott sneaks up behind the clefairy and bonks it on the head with his
baseball bat then he captures it with his pokeball)
Scott: Yes, I caught clefairy.
(Scott then goes back to town and visits the pokemon center.)
Scott: Nurse Joy I need you to heal my pokemon I just caught.
Nurse Joy: You mean you actually caught some all by yourself. How did you
do it.
Scott: <If I tell her I hit them over the head with a baseball bat I'll
probably be yelled at.> Oh I just used a secret technique. So how
long till they're healed up.
Nurse Joy: If you pick them up in the morning they'll be just fine.
Scott: Thanks I'll be here first thing in the morning.
(The next morning Scott picks up his new pokemon and takes them out to the
edge of town to release them and see if they'll obey him or not.)
