Chapter 7-Things from the past come back to haunt Ryu-chan!-or,hopefully-Oh no!It's Rikki!
Ryuko stared at the face for a long time.::what's this supposed to mean?Am I going to run into him again?!And,in the first place,why did I ever leave?I had two parents,a sister,and a bro-::Ryuko stopped thinking.::No,we didn't want to be related.We'd both secretly had hopes of marrying eachother oone day.I couldn't stand it any longer,so I left.I said I'd always try to keep in touch with him,and I'd always stay close by,but things changed and I had to keep moving farther and farther away.::She finally landed on the ground.She saw a shadow walking towards her.She could only make out glowing blue eyes.Very familiar blue eyes.
"Agh!Ryuko-san!"Ryouga shouted as he saw Ryuko faint.He gathered her into his arms and headed for the nearest shop.Which,to his surprise,was Ukyou's Okonamiyaki Shop.
Ukyou watched in puzzled fascination as Ryoga ran in,holding a strange girl with a long cascade of golden-brown hair."Ryoga,what's the matter?"Ukyou asked.
"She fainted,Ukyou,we were just walking along,and she fainted!"Ryoga replied.
"Who is she?"Ukyou looked critically at the girl lying in Ryoga's arms.
"She's a friend of mine named Ryuko Aino.Ranma might've mentioned her to you."Ryoga stood impatiently.
"Well,set her down on a table or something and I'll get some water!"Ryoga looked a little scared,but he got over it.He set Ryuko on a table and moved as far away as he possibly could,so no water would get near him.
Ukyou rushed in with the glass of water.She was about to pour it on the girl when a woman with blue eyes and ice-blue hair in a braid walked in.
"Pouring that on her won't do any good.I know how to help her,help me bring her down to my ice cream shop."The woman said.She smiled at the girl strangely.
Ryoga nodded and picked up Ryuko.The woman took one of his hands and led him down to Beruche's Ice Cream Legacy.
"Are you Beruche?"Ryoga asked.
"Yes."She replied simply and opened the door for Ryoga.Ryoga walked in and was met by a warm breeze.
"Come back into my office."She told him.He followed her back into a small room that had many small crystal figures around it.It also was painted in icy blue and a lot of the stuff in there was the same color of blue.He sat down in front of the small blue desk in the small blue room.
"Lie her down on my sofa over there."Beruche said,pointing to a small blue sofa just big enough for Ryuko to lie withe her feet sticking out on one end.
"Now,let me discuss with you what we must do,in case we must do it again."Beruche was getting right to the point.She seemed very business-like,though there was an air about her that screamed"Let's all go on a shopping spree!"
"She has only a few things that can wake her up from faint.One is of her own will.The second is by magic,and the third is by tapping a certain pressure point.This one,"Beruche walked over to Ryuko and pointed to a spot right above Ryuko's right ear."Right here.It's an alarm of some sort,tells her to wake up.But she's very startled when you tap it.Would you do the honors?"
"Alright."Ryoga stood up and nodded.He walked over to Ryuko and pressed the point.Ryuko's eyes opened and her eyes were black.She glared at Ryoga and Beruche and suddenly some sort of 'blip' sound was heard and her eyes turned back to gleaming blue.Beruche was quite confused.::She didn't act the same way the last time we had to do that.She'd usually go into a blind rage,clawing at everyone she saw.It must be that one device,that that nice inventor gave her about two years ago.::She smiled and looked at the black ring on Ryuko's right ring finger.
"Where am I?"Ryuko asked,in a daze.
"You're in my ice cream shop,Ryuko,sweetie."Beruche replied and looked at Ryuko in concern.
"Beruche-san?"
"Hai,Ryu-chan."Beruche smiled.It had been a long time since Ryuko's last visit,and she had special orders from Chibiusa-chan to make sure to check up on Ryuko every few months.
"How did I get here?I don't remember entering the shop."Ryuko sat up.
"You fainted on your way here,Ryuko-san."Ryoga answered.
"Oh.It would figure.That's the only logical explaination."Ryuko stood up and walked out the door into the ice cream serving part of the shop."Can we get some ice cream,Beruche-san?"
"Ryu-chan!You don't need to ask me!You're customers!And guests too!Ice cream's half-price!"Beruche smiled again and walked into the section where the people making the ice cream were.::I'd give it to ryuko free,but her friend looks like her could eat to cows and a half and still be hungry.And running out of ice cream with no money to buy more supplies would mean me broke and out of business.::
Ryoga and Ryuko ate ice cream to their hearts' content.Which wasn't much for Ryuko.But a whole lot for Ryoga.After they were done,Ryuko began to think.
"Ryoga,do you think I could go see Ranma-san?I haven't seen him since the first time I've met him."Ryuko wanted to talk to Ranma.He seemed to be able to understand some strange things about her.
"I think so,Ranma always has unexpected guests."As he said this,he thought of Shampoo,Mousse,in more personal depths,Nabiki and her money-making schemes having to do with a camera and Ranma's female form.And going even farther,a lot of the time,Ryoga himself coming to challenge Ranma,and see Akane.But he wouldn't challenge Ranma any more,in the end,all that Ranma had done to him paid off.Except for Ranma taking his bread all the time."I'll go with you too,I want to talk to him about something."
"Okay,Let's go then!Bye Beruche-san!"Ryuko stood up,and took out enough money to pay for the ice cream they'd just eaten,but before she could pay,Ryoga paid with his own money.*writer blinks."Is that too far fetched?I mean,Ryoga must have billions in stash to pay for ALL THOSE bandanas!"Mokona nods in agreement and shouts out "Pu!" through the sock AND first aid bandages wrapped around it's mouth."I knew you'd agree.okay mokona,I'll allow you to think about chocolate ice cream for 5 minutes for being on good behavior."If mokona could blink,he would.instead he just sweatdropped.And began thinking of chocolate ice cream.*After Ryoga'd payed and they'd left,Ryuko wrapped her arms around Ryoga's right arm,as if she was glomping onto him.But that wasn't what was happening.Ryuko was looking through his mind,trying to correct his sense of direction.She found it.a little image of herself in Ryoga's mind put on an "I dream of Jeanie" outfit and did the cross arms-nod-blink maneuver and Ryoga's broken sense of direction valve was fixed.Slowly Ryuko released his arm.He did not stray.::Good!Now no more losing your way for you,k?Good boy!::Ryuko thought and snickered.
"We're here."Ryoga said.
"Okay!"Ryuko smiled and ran up to the door and knocked."Hey Ranma-san!It's Ryuko!"She shouted through the door.She stepped back a step from the door.A moment later a young woman with her hair in a loose ponytail opened the door.
"Hello,I'm Kasumi,I take it you're a friend of Ranma's?"The young woman's answer was a smile and a big nod.*The writer feels like bein silly,so please excuse her,k?*
"She's with me Kasumi."Ryoga said and stepped forward so he was next to Ryuko."How's everyone been?"
"Just fine Ryoga,let me tell Ranma you're here."Kasumi walked off,giving Ryoga a surprised look.::He's not here to beat Ranma up?That's new.::She walked to Ranma in the dining room,and smiled."Mr. Ranma,a girl with long brown hair and strange blue eyes is here to see you.And so is Ryoga."Ranm looked up and smiled.
"Ah!A visit from Ryuko!What a nice surprise!"Ranma exclaimed and walked to the front door.::He sure did get happier since He proposed to Akane!:Kasumi followed Ranma to the door.
"Hi Ranma-san!"Ryuko said in a bouncy kind of way.
"Hi Ryuko-chan!"Ranma replied."Won't you come in?"Ranma ushered Ryuko into the house but stopped Ryoga on his way in."Why's Ryuko acting so bouncy and hyper?"He whispered to Ryoga.
"Sugar high,don't let Ryuko near ice cream."Ryoga replied.Ranma nodded in understanding.They all walked back to the dining room.
After a long time of chatting,Kasumi stood up suddenly."My goodness!"She exclaimed."I didn't even offer you anything to eat or drink!"
"Nothing for me,Kasumi."Ryoga said.
"I'd like a glass of water,please!I'm very thirsty!"Ryuko exclaimed.*Uh-oh,ranma fans,I think you can sort of predict what'll happen next!*rRyoga and Ranma visibly cringed.
"Okay,Ryuko-san."Kasumi walked away and came bak with a nice glass of cold water.and she tripped over her own two feet.Ryoga rolled out of the way just in time,and Ryuko ran and caught Kasumi before she fell.And guess who lcky contestant will get to turn into a red haired girl named Ranko?
"Agggh!"Ranko screamed.Ryuko sat Kasumi in a chair and turned to Ranma/Ranko and blinked."Ranma-san?What happened to you?"
With a heavy sigh,Ranma explained the whole Jusenkyo curse and what happened to him.Once he got near Ryoga's curse,Ryoga gave him a stern glare and he shut up.
"So you and a bunch of others in nerima have curses?"Ryuko asked.
Ranma nodded.
"Why didn't you fix it?"Ryuko asked.
"Ryuko,I've been trying to for ages!But nothing ever works!"Ranma said in despair.
"It's easy to fix.I didn't know you were so daft,Ranma-san!I'll help you get rid of the curse."Ryuko placed her hand on Ranko's arm,and the weirdest thing happened.Ranma began to split in two.Then there was ranma,and ranko.
"Should I send away your girl half?"Ryuko asked.
Ranma thought about his mother Nodoka."No,from now on,me and Ranko are cousins.Not two different forms of ranma."Ranma proclaimed.
"Hai!"Ryuko nodded,and Akane got tears in her eyes."Oh Ranma,I'm so happy now!You're finally cured!"Akane ran to ranma and ugged him fiercely.*"Yuck!Mushy stuff!"the writer mutters.Mokona has a bunch of hearts around it's head and it sighs.*
"I'm happy too,Akane!This completes our lives!Now I won't have the curse when we get married five days from today!"Ranma said happily.
"FIVE DAYS?!How come you never told ME Ranma?!"Ryoga asked."Am I not good enough to go to your wedding?!"
Ranma was about to reply,when Shampoo busted through a wall.
"Ah,my great luck!"Ranma exclaimed sarcastically.
"Husband not marrying Akane girl!"Shampoo shouted.Mousse followed behind.
"Ranma,how dare you betray Shampoo!"Mousse also shouted.
"Hey,I dunno who you two are,but it's REALLY rude to bust a nice wall,and enter a home without permission."Ryuko stepped forward.
"Who you?"Shampoo asked confusedly.
"I am Ryuko Aino,friend of Ranma and Akane,and I won't let you ruin their happy mood!"Ryuko exclaimed.*"Oh boy,didn't THAT sound Sailor Moonish!"The writer gains a sweatdrop over her head as she says this.Mokona nods.*
"What you do to stop Shampoo?"Shampoo asked.
"I'll fight you."Ryuko smirked and got into fighting stance.::Finally,someone who might be challenging!::
"If that what Ryuko girl want."Shampoo also got into fighting stance.
Suddenly,Genma appeared in a referee outfit."Let the fight begin!"He shouted.
Shampoo lunged at Ryuko but Ryuko was already flipping over her head.Ryuko placed her index finger on the back of Shampoo's neck and pressed down hard.
"Split apart....now!"Ryuko screamed.Shampoo's body wavered,and she started to split into two shampoos,one shampoo turning into a cat.Ryuko finally landed behind Shampoo as Shampoo fell to the ground.
"I didn't want to do that the hard way."Ryuko said.She looked at ranma,who was backing away in fright."What's wrong,Ranma-san?!"Ryuko asked,very worried.
"C-c-cat!"Ranma shouted and pointed at Shampoo neko-jin.Ryuko made Shampoo's cat form disappear.Ranma was paralyzed with fear.
"Why's Ranma-san afraid of cats?"Ryuko asked Akane.Akane expained the Neko-ken to Ryuko.Ryuko nodded in understanding amd bent down next to Ranma.She put her hands on Ranma's head.She began probing his mind.She found a section filed "cats and neko-ken training,that was open.She blasted it with a ball of light and it shattered.Ranma immediately came out of his paralyzed state.Ryuko went out of his mind and back into her own.
"Wha happened?"Ranma asked.
"Ranma-san,how does this effect you?"Ryuko held up a picture of Ryoga neko-jin she'd taken.Ranma simly looked at it and smiled.
"It's a cute little cat."Ranma stood up from the position he'd fallen into.Akane and Ryoga gasped in amazement.
"Ryuko,how can you do these things?"Ryoga asked.
"It's,It's no business of yurs,just be happy I can."Ryuko replied coldly.
"Alright.I withdraw the question."Ryoga said in a cheery voice,trying to change Ryuko's mood back to hyper-happy.He glanced over.Shampoo was coming to again.
"Ryuko,could you cure me?"Mousse asked Ryuko as she approached him.Ryuko smiled.
"Okay."Ryuko put her hand on Mousse's arm and immediately he split into a man and a duck.Mousse the man and mu-mu the duck looked at eachother.Then Mu-mu disappeared.Ryuko then took off Mousse's glasses and placewd her hands over his eyes.He felt a strange feeling overcome his eyes.She then removed her hand and stomped on Mousse's glasses.
"Ahh!My glasses!Whoa!I can see fine!As a matter of fact,I can see that bird perched in that tree fifty miles away in tokyo harbor!"Mousse exclaimed.Ryuko sweatdropped.
"Ryuko girl,why you cure Shampoo?Shampoo did nothing for you."Shampoo asked.
"You ARE going to do something for me.Both of you.Shampoo,Mousse,You both are going to leave ranma alone or be his friend.And then,you two will get married."Ryuko exclaimed.
"Yay!!!"Mousse shouted happily.
"Great Grandmother never allow mousse and shampoo to marry."Shampoo replied.
"Yes she will."A voice said,and Beruche appeared in the wreckage of the wall."I'm going to talk to her about it.Ryu-chan,you have a fun time here,I have a lot of people I need to talk to."Beruche smiled and disappeared suddenly.
"Thanks,Beruche-san!"Ryuko shouted.Everyone blinked in puzzlement.Genma was crying.
"My beautiful Neko-ken!Gone forever!Ranma Saotome,you break your father's heart!"Genma cried.
"Saotome-san,please stop that!I'll help you too!"Ryuko exclaimed.Once again,she split the panda genma from the human genma.
"Take this nice panda to the China wilderness.Pandas are too rare these days."Ryuko commanded.Genma was dancing around happily now that he wasn't a panda.*"Things are going too good.And I can't think of anything to spoil it!"the writer complains.Mokona,once again gets a sweatdrop over it's head.It is finally starting to feel dizzy as all the blood has finally rushed to it's head.*
"Altaira-"Phorkys began.
"Shh."She replied as she concentrated harder on erasing the newfound knowledge of ryuko's powers from all the people in ryuko's school.
All the students and teachers in school felt a sudden ripping and tearing feeling in their heads.Most of them collapsed to the ground.
"This would all be a LOT easier if I could flashy thing them like in that american movie "Men in Black" instead of removing the memory from their heads psychically."Altaira muttered.Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones suddenly passed by the alleyway,dressed in black suits and wearing their sunglasses.Altaira and Phorkys sweatdropped.
Once everyone finally got up off the floor in school,Shinji couldn't help but feel that pain was very familiar,only twice as hurtful.*"I know,"hurtful" is a word the lil rascals'd use,but what do you want me to say?'That pain was familiar bt twice as painful?'It doesn't go right in my twisted head."Writer knocks on her head and then looks at mokona,who she had duct taped to the wall."I don't know why I never thought of duct tape!I'm glad I saw that episode of South Park!Now Mokona will NEVER be able to escape!Hahahahahaha!"writer continues to write,wishing she could just draw the fanfic now,instead of write it.But it takes special equipment and a lot of time to make a cartoon,so a poor person with such little patience like the writer(and her cousin)would not be able to make a cartoon.It took the writer long enough to make a 26 page comic for her and her best friend's new series based on Dragonball Z/GT.*
Ryuko left the Tendo Dojo and walked back home.She had a splitting headache,and she felt as if something was missing in her head.She shrugged it off.
School let out.But no one was rushing out,they were all walking slowly,clutching their heads in pain.Shinji was running,though.He was running from Kitai.::She's insane!What type of girl hits on a guy then tries to get him in trouble with the teacher in math class?!!::Shinji was suddenly caught in mid-run and pulled into a dark corner by a familiar arm.
"Shinji!I'm having love problems!"Kaoru said urgently.Shinji backed away a step and a sweatdrop appeared over his head.
"I can't help you!"Shinji exclaimed then ran off towards home again.Kaoru stood there,a puzzled look on his face.
Ryuko passed by a grocery store.::Hmm,might as well gets a few supplies since we are getting kinda low.::Ryuko walked into the store and began picking out items she blelieved they would need.
Shinji heard Kaoru running after him.He just hoped his stamina would keep up.::I don't want to tell him what he should do!I want his relationship to fail miserably with Ryuko,so that I'll have a better chance!:Shinji thought bitterly as he ran.
Ryuko found everything she needed.She went to the cash register,pulling out her money as she went.*The writer momentarily interrupts."Gendo and Misato have resorted to paying Ryuko daily,so that she is happy.From the tests Ritsuko gave them,angry is something they don't want."The writer explains.*She paid for the groceries and began running super fast home.She had chocolate ice cream,and she most certainly DIDN'T want it to melt!
Shinji hurriedly ran into his apartment and ran into the kitchen,backing himself into a corner.He heard Kaoru enter and head straight for the kitchen.Shinji squeaked.
"Shinji!You've just got to help me!I need to make Ryuko jealous,so she'll notice me more!"Kaoru told him,moving closer.
Before Shinji could reply,the sound of Ryuko walking through the front door was heard.
"Help me,Shinji!"Kaoru pleaded.Shinji opened his mouth to say something,and suddenly,Kaoru wrapped his arms around his male companion and french kissed him deeply.Shinji's eyes went wide in shock and horror.At that exact moment,Ryuko walked in.She dropped her grocery bags and stared in horror at the scene of the two boys kissing intimately.
"Oh...my...GAWD!"Ryuko exclaimed,shocked beyond compare.
Shinji finally broke free of Kaoru's hold.
"Ryu!It's not what it looks like!"Shinji shouted in a shrill voice.Too late.She'd run out of the room.Shinji ran after her.He stopped dead in his tracks.Ryuko was on the telephone.
"Hello,Rikki?I need to talk about something that just happened."She was saying when he entered.
"No!Ryu!Don't!!!"He shouted in a voice a lot like his father's.
"Welcome everyone,I'm Rikki and this is the Rikki Lake show,"A woman with short red hair said to a large audiendce."And today we'll be talking about a very strange topic.It's astonishing,comic,bewildering,discouraging,and almost depressing."
Spotlights shone down on a dressed up Ryuko sitting in a chair,her legs crossed.She still looked quite weirded out by the whole thing.
"Our topic today is 'Girls whose whose boyfriends are cheating on them with the girls' male roommates!'"
Everyone gasped.Then laughed.Then clapped.Then shouted out cheers of sympathy to Ryuko.
"But let's get on with this!"Rikki shouted over the cheering.Everyone clapped."Alright,our first guest is Ryuko Aino.Ms. Aino,please tell us everything about this horrible injustice!"
"Well,I was just getting home and I walked into the kitchen to find my boyfriend had his arms wrapped around my room mate,french kissing him deeply."Ryuko said in a 'I'm really disgusted,I STILL can't believe it' voice.
"What a truly weird and kind of sickening story!"Rikki smiled at Ryuko."Let's bring out the boys now."
Shinji and Kaoru walked out,Kaoru smiling and Shinji with his head bowed.They both sat down on either side of Ryuko.
"Now,Mr Ikari,you say it happened differently.Why don't you explain?"Rikki asked.Suddenly,the glass roof*I know,glass roof,how corny and unbelievable*shattered and a girl with red hair and black bangs wearing a black suit and black gloves*and,if you must know,black sunglasses*jumped down.
"Hello,everyone,I'd like you to do me a favor.Look at this nice red light here,you'll never see anything like it again."The girl said,holding up one of the memory-erasers from MiB.Ryuko stared at the girl.She was the girl in her dream!She looked at the red light obediantly,along with everyone else in the studio and the people watching Rikki Lake at home.
"Good,good,now,pay very close attention."The girl pressed a button and everyone saw the bright flash of light."Okay,now,Ryuko,Kaoru,Shinji,the disturbing event you experienced never happened,Ryuko,you walked home and saw Shinji watching his favorite anime and Kaoru drinking some hot chocolate.Audience,these three are here because Rikki wanted you to meet them,because Ryuko is a best friend of Rikki's.The red fox and green gecko you will see when you come to are Ryuko's new pets."The girl put away the memory eraser.Then she removed the gecko from her pocket and transformed into a fox.Everyone came out of their stupor.
"So,Ryuko,what are the names of your pets?"Rikki asked,as if nothing had happened.
"The fox is Altaira and the gecko is Phorkys."Ryuko replied almost automatically.She placed the gecko on her shoulder and pet the fox.
After that,Ryuko and Shinji and Kaoru went home.
"Kaoru,I have to tell you something.I don't wanna go out any more.I don't have those kinds of feelings for you.I sorry."Ryuko said.Kaoru only nodded.
"I'll see you at school,then."Kaoru walked off.
Kitai was sitting in her house,going through her usual 'I hate the world' trance.Then a woman with long,dark green hair in a black and red sailor fuku appeared.
"Kitai,I am here to give you your henshin stick.I am Sailor Pluto.And you are Sailor Mercury."Sailor Pluto said.
"I don't want to be Sailor Mercury."She replied plainly."My mother was,and she wasn't there for me.Ever."
"She was the first to be taken by Sailor Chaos.Then came Jupiter,then came Mars,then,Venus."
"Can I have an extra day to think?"Kitai asked.
"Fine.You have until this time tomorrow."Sailor Pluto vanished.
The Next Day at school during lunch...*the writer has talked about the previous day long enough!*
"Hey Shin-chan!"A familiar face called out.A bunch of fakey looking tears came out of Shinji's eyes.While Ryuko's eyes were turning red.
"Kitai-san,leave Shinji alone!"Ryuko told Kitai sternly.
"Why?You guys makin out?"Kitai teased and smiled as they both turned red at the mere thought.
"No!Shinji just doesn't like perverted,sick little girls like yourself bothering him!"Ryuko replied.
"I challenge you to a fight,then,for Shinji!"Kitai sneered.She needed to prove to herself she was senshi material,and beating a creampuff like Ryuko into the ground was a perfect way.
"It's your funeral,but Shinji's not the prize.We'll figure out the prize after I've won."Ryuko smiled as she said this.Her eyes flickered red.
"Fine.Let's go!"Kitai immediately jumped at Ryuko.Ryuko stepped aside and punched her in the stomach as she went past.Kitai bent over slightly,then straightened up and turned around.She was running towards Ryuko again,when she heard the swish of a sword near her head.She heard something fall to the ground.Slowly she looked behind her.She blinked and tried not to cry.
"MY HAIR!"She screamed and fell to the ground next to the pile of lavender.She looked angrily towards whoever had done it.
"Thou shallt not seek a fight with the beautiful maiden Ryuko without going through me!"A poetic voice shouted.Tatewaki Kuno jumped down from the low branch he'd perched on,holding a new steel sword.He swished it about skillfully.
"You IDIOT!"Kitai screamed,clutching what had been her long hair that was just a mass of lavender strings,connected to no one's head at all now.Ryuko actually started to feel bad for Kitai.Sure,Kitai was somewhat of a bitch,but she treasured her hair probably more than her life.
"It serves thee right,trying to harm my fair Ryuko."Kuno simply replied and bounded off.
"Since when am I someone's PROPERTY?!!!!!"Ryuko shouted and ran back into the school.
The man with the blue eyes sighed.His daughter had so many troubles.He'd wanted her to live a perfect,carefree life without any worries,but that wouldn't be.He had been greatful to Altaira for helping Ryuko so many times,and to Beruche also.
"Sailor Mercury is about to arrive.I believe it's time Sailor Moon made the scene also."the king said,sensing his wife's presence.
"Hai.I think so too.But I think Sailor Pluto should introduce Sailor Uranus and Neptune to their duties first.Then Sailor Moon will come,and she'll be able to meet her entire team of senshi."Chibiusa replied.
"As you wish,my queen."Sailor Pluto said,suddenly appearing in the secret room,next to Chibiusa.Sailor Pluto then disappeared again.
"I wish she wouldn't DO that!"Chibiusa exclaimed."It scares me!"
In gym that day,Ryuko was lounging out on the stage*It's a gym/auditorium type* and watching everyone else.She loved free gym days.She looked at the groupd of boys that came over to bother her daily in gym.
"Gee,Ryuko,You're so cute.You're like a goddess,and we are your humble mortal slaves."One boy said.Another boy began giggling sickly.
"No,not SEX slaves,ecchi baka.How dare you even think such thoughts in the presence of the goddess Ryuko."another boy told the giggling boy.The boy immediately shut up and looked ashamed.They all began to stare at Ryuko,just sitting there,deep in thought,wearing her gym clothes,which was a pair of shorts and a white t-shirt.
Ryuko was not listening to any of them.Her mind was troubling her,as was her ring on her right ring finger.It was acting like a device,like some mechanical toy.She looked at it.She wanted to take it off,but she had promised the inventor that had given it to her she wouldn't take it off no matter what.And she didn't break promises unless she had to.She had broken some promises though.Like the promise she had made her Minako-sensei.She thought back to the time.
***FLASHBACK***
Minako:Now Ryuko-chan,I don't want you to ever use your special abilities in public.Other children can't do what you do and you might get hurt if you use them.So,please,promise me you won't.
3 year old Ryuko:Okay Minako-mommy!I won't!
Minako:Good.Now,I'm going to a special place to do a test for a very special experiment.You can watch,if you like.
3 year old Ryuko:I'd like that very much,Minako-mommy!
~A little while later.~
3 year old Ryuko:Where are we,minako-mommy?
Minako:We're in a very special place called NERV,it builds big robots called EVAs that use pilots to make them move.I'm going to be testing a special,new version.
3 year old Ryuko:~ryuko looks at EVA #6~But minako-mommy!It'll eat you!
Minako-~very puzzled~No,ryuko-chan,it's not going to eat me.I'm just going to test it.I'll go into the robot,yes,but I'll come out again.You'll see!Now I'm going to go talk with someone very important,why don't you talk to that nice little boy over there?~Minako gives little Ryuko a sweet smile then leaves to talk to gendo.~
3 year old Ryuko:Minako-sensei!Don't leave me!~Ryuko sits down and stares at the floor.She looks up at the little boy Minako talked about.Ryuko stands up and walks over to him.~
3 year old Ryuko:Hi,I'm Ryuko!Who're you?
3 year old Shinji:My name's Shinji.That's my daddy.~Shinji points at Gendo,who's in deep conversation with Minako.~
3 year old Ryuko:Ah.That's my Minako.~Ryuko points to Minako.~
3 year old Shinji:I she your mommy?
3 year old Ryuko:No,she's just my Minako.I don't have a mommy and daddy.
3 year old Shinji:I got a mommy.She's right there.~Shinji points at Yui,who is chatting with Misato.Ryuko looks back over to the place where Minako and Gendo were talking,but doesn't see Minako there any longer.~
3 year old Ryuko:Where's my Minako-mommy?!!!!!!
Yui:~walks over and bends down so she's level with Ryuko,then smiles kindly.~Don't worry,Minako's just oing to go get suited up,then she's going to be put into the EVA plug,then loaded into the EVA.She'll be done in no time,they just want to see how well she can move with the EVA.
3 year old Ryuko:Okay.~Shinji has a blank look on his face.~
~The EVA synchronization begins.~
Maya:Sir!The synch rate is abnormal!It's at 400%!!!!!!!!!
Misato:Eject the plug!
Maya:No response from the EVA!!!!!
Misato:Try until you succeed!!!!!!!!!~Ryuko sits down in shock.She stares at the floor.~
Maya:The plug ejected!
Misato:Good!
Maya:But there's no pilot!!!!
Misato,Ritsuko,Yui,and Gendo,simultaneously:NANI?!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maya:There's only a bunch of LCL and an empty plugsuit!
Yui:No way!
Maya:I'm afraid so,no pilot anywhere!~Yui turns to Ryuko~
Yui:I'm sorry,I didn't expect this.~Yui wrapped her arms around Ryuko as she stares blankly at the EVA,clutching Yui and at times making squeaking sounds.~
3 year old Shinji:Mommy!What happened?!!!Did the robot eat her?
Yui:I don't know.
~later,in gendo's office~
Misato:Is anyone willing to adopt the child?
Gendo:No.She will be given to the proper authorities and they will take care of her.~Everyone looks at Gendo in surprise.~
Ritsuko:But Commander Ikari,what will we tell them?
Gendo:You will tell them her mother died of the flu.
3 year old Ryuko:~sitting outside the door with Shinji~I told her the robot'd eat her!Why didn't she listen to me?!She always used to listen to me before.It's all cuz-o that mean mr gendo this happened!
3 year old Shinji:~looks down at his hands momentarily~How come you don't cry?I'd cry if it was my mommy.
3 year old Ryuko:I can't.Minako told me that I was special and I could do things other kids couldn't.And that I couldn't do things others could.She said it was coz somethin that happened to me before I was borned.
3 year old Shinji:Oh.Do you want to cry?
3 year old Ryuko:I dunno.I guess.But Minako said it was best that I couldn't cry.She said that only weak people cried,and that I was better off using my energy to do other things than cry.
3 year old Shinji:Oh.~shinji looks down at his hands again.~
Yui:~walks out of Gendo's office~Some nice people will be here to pick you up shortly,I'm sorry about what happened.
3 year old Ryuko:S'ok,you're not the one that ate Minako.~An old woman walks up to the doors of the NERV office building*you actually think they'd let her into the NERV headquarters where the EVAs are?!*~
Old woman:~to desk attendant~I'm here to take Ryuko Aino.
Attendant:I'll inform Commander Ikari.
~a little while later~
~Ryuko appears out of an elevator.~
Old woman:Hello,Ryuko,I am here to take you to your new home.

*BTW,that was a segment for you guys,Ryuko didn't really even remember shinji even being there at all.*
Ryuko looked up to see her fans were gone and people were just going into the locker rooms to get dressed back in their school uniforms so they would be ready to go.She walked into the locker rooms.
