Well here is part 8, hope you enjoy it, please send C&C! *_*
WARNING: This is the part of the fic where everything gets EVIL and
heavily RELIGIOUS. Any person who is really religious MAY want to step
back now, since it gets into a lot of blasphemous stuff.{If there's a
hell, I'm going to it for writing this story.}
P.S. This is in no way meant to insult or demean other religions, it's
just a creative outlet. I in no way indorse everything in this story or
beleive in all the philophies within{Maybe some though.}
Now to the story! *_*

Chapter 8: Heroic.
It was Sunday. The day when millions of people flocked to churches
to give their praises to god. To thank him for everything they have
received. Despite the fact that most people worked hard to get what they
have. No divine intervention gave them their house, their family, their
money, anything they cherish. They worked for it themselves, so why give
thanks? Because he started the job, because he started life? Yet he
didn't finish it all. Humanity has struggled for eons, trying to become
more. That is why we have science, the replacement for religion.
Religion can only go so far, while science seems limitless.
Religion seems like something more out of fiction, a fantasy book
written by an author. It may or may not be true, who knows? We cannot
prove it, yet we can prove science. Science is the provable, while
religion is just theory.
I have heard of people who argue the fact. People who say that
science is only theory as well, theory that can only be proved by more
science, which is still theory. But yet we see science all around us.
Technology is everywhere. Television, cars, airplanes, computers, and a
variety of other things. It is much more solid then religion, at least
in my opinion.
Lately, science seems to have been thrown out the window. People
have appeared in reality and dreams. The teleport around like in a
fantasy novel. In my dreams people warn me of the apocalypse, of the
end. This is all religion, and not a shred of science is in it, so is
science real, or is religion. Or both?
Either way, things were not going well for me. I sat in front of my
usual cup of coffee, like I always doing, trying to stop the screams.
But something helped block them today, the thoughts about what was going
on. About Lilith and Sarah. About the mysterious A.C.M. it was all so
puzzling, and disturbing.
I checked the clock up on the wall above the refrigerator. It was
2:34, not very late in the afternoon. But to me it seemed like the
afternoon had dragged on for an eternity. Each second being stretched
into hours, every minute to days and hours to weeks.
As I sat and thought about the recent events, an idea came to mind.
A church! No matter how much I detested churches, maybe I could find
some information on what was going on. There was no rational explanation
for all this, just that things seemed to point in the direction of the
bible. The Alpha and Omega thing Lilith talked about. The end of the
world the other half of me talked about and the battle of Good, Evil,
and Neutral. Also something within me seemed to be yelling out that the
answers were in the bible. The voice also told me to go to the church to
get the bible. Don't ask me how or why, but some voice just said it.
I quickly shot up and ran out the door, heading for the church on
Anderson Street..............
I entered the building in awe, it was beautiful to say the least.
The room, was large, very, very large. It was a rectangular shape,
longer in length then in width. The roof came up into a triangular shape
and was still very sturdy, even though the church had been here for over
a hundred years.
The floors and walls were made of smoothed out grey stone, giving it
an old look. Along the floor were dozens of light brown, wooden pews,
which were separated into two rows. They went from near the back of the
church to near the front. At the front was the area where reverent or
bishop stood and gave the sermon. To the left of the stand where he
spoke and prepared the wine and bread for communion, there was the large
set of pews where the choir sat. And to the right was a large assortment
of crosses and a baptismal font.
At the very back of the room was a large wooden cross elegantly
carved out of dark wood. It stood tall, about eight meters. It almost
blocked out the large stain glass window behind it. The window was
colourful, depicting the scene in Bethlehem where Jesus was born.
To the sides were large stain glass windows, each showing different
scenes from the bible. From Noah's Arc to Moses to Jesus teachings and
crucifixion. Each was done by an excellent artist and showed the fine
skill and pride people had in work a long time ago.
From the ceiling hung large metal boxes, which held candles that
were lit to keep the place light after dark. But now they were not lit
because the coloured light from the stain glass windows provided enough
light.
Sitting in one of the pews was a man, dressed in white priest robes
and had a purple sash over his shoulders. He was bending over some sort
of book from what I could see, reading it with great speed.
I started to walk up the space in-between the two pews. After I had
got within a few meters of where he stood he closed the book and quickly
got up and turned around to face me.
The man was short, only about five and a half feet. His robe covered
everything except his face and hands, which were rather pale. He had
dark blue eyes and short blond hair arranged quite untidily. He wore a
crocked smile on his face which was a little disturbing. "Hello. I'm
Bishop Maltenor. How do you do?"
"Fine."
His smiled widened a little more. "So what brings you here?"
"I'm looking for a copy of the bible."
The Bishop looked surprised at the comment and began to rub the ring
on his right finger. "You don't have a copy at home? Well then, come
this way."
He began to walk up the aisle, heading towards the front, and I
followed him. Yet before we got there he quickly spun around and grabbed
my wrist. With great strength he began to crush it.
I could hear the sound of my wrist bones cracking as he squeezed my
wrist. My whole hand was going numb because he cut of the blood supply
to it. "What the hell are you doing?"
When I ended my question his eyes started to glow a bright,
crimson-red. A breeze came into the church from an unknown source.
All the stain glass windows shattered pouring a rain of glass onto
me and the floor. Pieces of the glass fell onto some of my uncovered
skin and cut it, causing me to bleed badly. I had cuts on my hands and
on my face, showing how bad of a day this was.
All the pews caught on fire quickly in black flames, letting of a
dark black light. The books added fuel to the fire, causing the blaze to
catch quickly. Within seconds, everything flammable was on fire, except
mine and the bishop's clothes.
After the fire had reached the front of the church, the large cross
at the front began to burn. The bottom quickly burned off and the whole
flaming cross fell down, breaking the stand at the front.
The Bishop pulled out a revolver from his sleeve and pointed it at
my head. "Now, you die."
There was a gunshot, and the bishop fell over to my left, dead. His
crimson blood spilling onto the floor, dirtying up the smooth stone.
Behind the body of the Bishop, was Sarah, with a hand-gun in her
right hand. It quickly vanished and so did the frown on her face,
quickly replaced with a smile. "Thank god you're okay! I thought I was
to late. Need a hand?"
I shook my head malice fully as I shook my hand. It hut badly, and
probably would for the next few days. But it was better then being dead.
And I owed my life to Sarah, the person I despised so much. Why bother
saving me?
Sarah looked around at all the fire. "A dark magic user, not a very
powerful one though. Seems like he puts a lot of emphasis on flashy
stuff, not much power though. Must have been an interesting show to
see." I only blinked slowly, so she continued talking. "Well, I have to
go now. If you want to thank me, then come to my place tomorrow night. I
know it's a school night, but you don't care about school much, do you?
Well enough talking, take my card, it has my address on it. See you
later." And she vanished. And with her, so did the flames.
I looked around the charred and blackened room and blinked a few
times. This was probably the weirdest thing to happen yet. It was even
disturbing by my standards. What was most disturbing, was that Sarah
saved my life.
In my hurt hand was Sarah's card, which she had somehow teleported
in. I looked at the small, white piece of paper and began to read.
"Apartment 123 of the Holy Town's apartment center. Monday, 7 o'clock
sharp." Underneath that was her signature and a P.S. "P.S. have a good
time, I'll be expecting you!"
I shoved the card into my pocket and shrugged. I may not like Sarah
that much, but she did save my life. To attend whatever she had planned
was the least I could do. And maybe I could find out what was going on.
Putting that behind me, I decided to look into the other rooms of
the church, looking for a copy of the bible...........
"Nice job."
"What?"
"The way you set that up."
"Set what up?"
"You know, the incident at the church."
"But I didn't."
"You're joking, right?"
"No."
"Then who did it?"
"Isn't it obvious."
"No. I would know id it was one of our usual opponents. I have the
feeling someone else it in this game."
"Do you have any idea who?"
"Not a clue. But this will be your second assignment. The other one
still takes priority."
"Getting Douglas on our side, I know."
"Subtly, nothing major. Unless things get desperate. You should be
able to hook him anyway's."
"I know."
"Good. Well continue with the mission. I'll call you again when it's
time to report."
"Yes sir."

with. Nothing in my story is written in stone. So whichever girl{Alice,
Lilith or Sarah} Gets the ost votes gets my main character. Or maybe I
will just write three seperate versions with three seperate endings with
each of the girls getting together with him. Well vote if you want, but
I expect 0-1 people will vote. *_*
