Ok, I'm on the list righT? and my @home service screws up and I restart
everything, and I get the newer version, but I dont get any emails
between Friday 11/26 6:52 pm and 11/27 thursday 10:46. Can anyone hear
this and can people send back to me a reply, just to ffml@fanfic.com
just so to see if i can hear it? I am always getting 70 msgs or
more/less everyday (about every 5 hours), but between those times, there
were NO mail.

Let's have some quotes from the FFML FAQ.

First, from the section "***VERY VERY IMPORTANT NOTES***":

]2) DO NOT POST TEST MESSAGES TO THE LIST!!!
]
]If you think you've been unsubscribed or if you think the list is
]down, see the section "* 'I think I've been unsubscribed.' OR 'Is the
]list down?'"

And, from the section "* 'I THINK I'VE BEEN UNSUBSCRIBED.' OR 'IS THE LIST
DOWN?'":

]First, here's what NOT to do:
]
]PLEASE DO NOT SEND TEST MESSAGES TO THE ML!!!
]
]If you think the list is down, DON'T email the list!!! Ask one of
]the moderators privately. Alternatively, E-mail another subscriber,
]or one of the auxiliary lists (see the Resource Guide), and ask
]whether they have been receiving list mail. Yet another way to check
]is to visit http://illusion.snu.ac.kr/~wacko/ffml/ .
]
]Remember, if the list is down and you send a test message, you're
]just making matters worse. And if the list isn't down (or when it
]goes back up), you'll draw the wrath of the moderators down on your
]head.
]
]If you think you may have been unsubscribed, the easiest thing to do is
]to send a subscribe request to <listar@fanfic.com>. The system won't let
]you be subscribed twice -- if you're already subscribed, it'll tell you.
]If this doesn't work, E-mail White Wolf and explain the problem you're
]having.

Finally, from the section "* WHAT IS SPAM?":

]** Not allowed, may result in immediate temporary postbanning:
]
]Test messages
]Spam polls: off-topic surveys that ask for on-list responses
]Continuation of a thread that has been banned by the moderators
]Portrayals of the murder of another author without permission
](yes, somebody actually did this).

No less than three times in the FFML FAQ, it is explicitly stated that you
are not to send test messages to the FFML. Not only that, but it's stated
right at the beginning, under the section of "***VERY VERY IMPORTANT
NOTES***", a section that all FFML members should, at the very minimum,
read and know.

This is not only a test message, it is also a test message that asks other
listmembers to reply to it on the FFML. I would request that no one do so.

For posting a test message, and with it attempting to solicit on-list
responses that would create even more unecessary spam, razgataz is
temporarily postbanned from the FFML for a period of one week.
