Well, I gotta admit, for an alt-fic, it's definitely good and shows a lot of
promise, except for one tiny nitpick:

If you've never read any of Blade of the Immortal, you're probably a bit
confused by now.
You might want to put this at the beginning of the fic, not only to warn
others who haven't read the previous work, but also to steer them in that
direction should they want to read this one.
