Something I wanted to point out...
While "Samurai" would feel that fighting in the shadows is a bad thing, MOST
modern warriors (with half a brain.) disagree.
(They can't see you, they can't hit you.) A LOT (Inc. the SDJF) of armies
now have the moden equiv. of Ninja. (US, is Rangers, SF, Marine
Souct/Snipers and Force Recon, Navy Seals, Air Force para commandos and ASAR
boys... Brits, SAS (no question) etc... etc...)
Also I think I said this before but...
Just becasue one is assisan trained, doesn't mean one is a killer. Our own
SService would make GOOD killers, if they chose to. (Most of the people on
the Detail, KNOW how the GOOD killers think and work... which means they can
do it to.) Kinda like setting a fox to catch a fox.
(Alt History states that some of the guards around the Emp. of Japan are
Ninja. Wouldn't surpise me in the least.)
