[FFML][Fanfic][Xover][Idea]Ranma/Foundation idea Revisited]]

Snippage throughout.

&May fuse him/her with Shampoo, of necessity.

Both of Daneel's creators were male. Daneel's physical appearance
is modeled
after one of them--the one that died. Bailey learned that the
murderer was
trying to destroy Daneel. However, since they look exactly
alike--especially
from a distance--he killed the roboticist who created Daneel
instead.
However, there is the _other_ roboticist who helped design Daneel.
I forget
his name, but he played a fairly important role in _Robots of Dawn_.
You
could fuse Shampoo with him.

###Had i not cut this entirely due to budget constraints, i would
probably
###make his creators look like Ranma's two forms, of necessity.

BTW, these two roboticists and several other Spacers were on Earth
for one
purpose--to convince Earthmen to resume colonization of the stars.
They
convince Elijah Bailey of that dream, and he and his son lead the
first
expeditions of the Settlers.

###have been told this

&Well... only book i've read with Elijah in it was from "The best
of
Isaac
&Asimov," the short story "Mirror Image." Where Elijah has to
figure
out which
&of two physicists stole the idea from one another.

Have not read that.

###I liked it. Elijah has to push the two scientists' servant robots
###to the point of one of them breaking due to a conflict of the 1st
###and 2nd laws. he then uses a bluff to interpret this a way that
turned
###out to be correct by saying he had 'definitive' proof that it was
###one of them, then that person confessed.

&The last one, of course, being Alpha Centauri B One. [wonder how
bright
&Proxima looks in their night sky?]

hmm...it's been a while since I've read F&E.

###"New Earth." one island, all oceans. they infect all visitors
with STDs
###to keep from being discovered.

& The zeroth law ...happens... on schedule.

So Ranma has to possess the first Three Laws. There's no reason he
can't also
have a Japanese overlay.

###No he doesnt need the first 3, it could just be an overriding law
that takes
###precedence over it.

&Confirmed in the foundation books. near the end of Prelude [or
Forward],
&Seldon tries to find out what Daneel used as a basis, thinking at
first
&the legendary "Roma," [note: Daneel supplied him with a child's
history
&book from the 23rd century C.E.], but then sees many paralells
with
China,
&right down to the way that 'greys' are appointed, similar to the
chinese
&civil service exams.

I honestly don't remember that. Seldon spent much of Prelude
looking for an
accurate history to use as a model for the present, but I hadn't
thought
Daneel actually gave him anything. Instead, he winds up using the
various
sectors of Trantor as a model for the planets of the galaxy.

Of course, the rituals described in Foundation and Chaos seem to be
Oriental
in nature.

Who? Not a character I remember.

& Jo-jo Joranum. a major plot device in "Forward the Foundation"

Is he the one that Raych (Seldon's adopted son) convinced that
Demerzel was a
robot?

###The same. and i know who Raych is. Irony is, demerzel -was- a
robot.

This could get interesting...are Happosai's perversions an attempt
to make up
for his sterility? Remember that sterile does not necessarily
mean
impotent.

&oh damn. well, it does mean a lack of a sex drive, i know that
much.

Um...no. All it means is that one is unable to have children.
Technically, a
man who's had a vasectomy is sterile. Both my parents are nurses; I
know all
sorts of medical facts that aren't common knowledge.

###Well, the mule's particular brand of sterility comes from genetic
mutations
###[no, i'm not going on the odd-no-of-chromosomes model, it's only
a metaphor.]
###So possibly the gene sequence that codes for testosterone was
messed up.

Pelorat has to be a scholar...Cologne? Of the Ranma characters,
she
probably
fits the role best. (I'm not familiar with too many other
series.)
Of
course, that could cause complications when you pick someone to be
Bliss.

&Happi? nah. maybe make Pelorat Kuno, Trevize Mikado, and make
Bliss
an
&Akane clone [can you think of an 11-syllable name with "akane"
somewhere in it?]

Kuno an historian! <thinks a minute> Yeah, I can _sort of_ see
that. As for
the name...you get five syllables free: Ak-a-ne-Ten-do. Just
remember that
Gaians go by a single syllable of their name, so you can't have her
addressed
as Akane, which has three. (Bliss regularly addresses Trevize and
Pelorat as
Trev and Pel.)

###until 'Trev' tells her not to call him that.

###it's A-ka-ne not Ak-a-ne. i'm gonna make kasumi bliss instead.
anyone wanna
###come up with a name?
