Like someone said before, we have people here who throw bolts of energy and jump ridiculously long distances. I really don't think a 'real' ninja could stand up to them. Then again, no one will ever know, will they?

Actually, a 'real' ninja would kill him easily.

A little poison in his food.
A needle in his futon.
A simple knife in the back with no warning.
A simple wire garotte when he is tired from one of his many battles.

When a ninja wants a man dead, a face to face fight is the last thing that they will look for, Ninja Turtles or not.

Even better, when you have access to proper poisons, it is easy to frame another.  Treat the blad of Kuno's bokken and wait.. he has gotten lucky on more than one occasion, even in the manga.

There is a reason people in Japan feared the ninja, and swarming out in broad daylight while dressed in a black bodysuit was not one of them.  The concept of Ranma properly trained as a ninja is a scary one, you have a Ranma that while honorable, will kill without hesitation if need be, trained to vanish in plain sight and walk without leaving tracks.  He will fight with a minmum of fanfare, and will strike to immobilize or kill as necessary, you also have a Ranma fully adept in the use of a variety of sharp pointy objects, with no compunctions against using them, finally, if done properly, you have a man that no one would ever suspect of being a ninja, as for them the ultimate loss of face comes from discovery.

Also, on that note: taking into account from the manga and anime, Sasuke has a habit of popping out of nowhere when needed, remember, the best ninja is one nobody suspects, what better cover than that of a total buffoon.

If Ranma does make it to Nerima and the Tendo Dojo, several things should be very different, starting with the sparing match.  Akane will get hit, and hit _hard_ as Ranma will have no cumpunctions against it, she will be treated as a normal opponent, and defeated, unless Ranma wishes to hide his true skill.  Also, once feelings develop, people who try to harm her will get _hurt_  there is no game playing here, no taunts, no vows ov revenge, just simple and efficient retaliation.  I also see Ryoga meeting the wrong end of several sharp and pointy objects should he attemt his stunt of sneaking into Ranma's room.
