Two things.
First, in manga continuity, Ranma learned the Nekoken at 10,
not 6 or 7. Since you're using anime continuity (ugh), that may
be different - I try to ignore anime continuity as much as possible.
Second, the whole thing with Ranma not fighting girls is way,
way, overblown, as it all too often is in fanfics. Ranma said
something like that once, to Akane, in circumstances that made it
clear he was using it to cover up his reluctance to hurt her. He
certainly had no problems fighting Shampoo, Kodachi, Mariko, Kima,
etc. He has never expressed an opinion that girls shouldn't study
the martial arts - given all the female martial artists he encounters,
that would be silly. Hell, he'll even fight Akane under the right
circumstances - the super soba, the battle dogi. He's very reluctant
to actually hit her, but that's because he's in love with her. When
the koi rod made him fall in love with Ryoga, he was not nearly
so protective of her.
