Ranma Saotome was caught in the tornado from his own attack.
*This is humiliating,* he thought to himself.
Suddenly, a vortex opened and the lateral force from the whirlwind
drove him and several photos of his girl-half into the vortex
[Author's note: still debating on whether or not sending Happosai to
San Francisco would be a Bad ThingTM]
The air current in the wormhole was against it, but Ranma's velocity
drove him into another opening, this one not at random but opened by
a machine. Meanwhile, the roll of pictures dropped into another
vortex, landing in a universe where the Musk dynasty ruled the world
and real girls didn't exist. A cult of the pig-tailed redheaded girl
was formed over the course of several years.
[Common practice in sliders fics is to have a slider drop something
in the wormhole and that something wreaks havoc on another
universe.]
Ranma emerged into a basement of someone's house
[Ranma readers can continue to 'CONVERGENCE,' there's really nothing
for you to see in track S.

Track S:
Quinn Mallory was just setting up his video camera.
"As you can see, my attempt to create Anti-Gravity has just taken an
unexpected turn. I don't know what it is, though. I'm thinking of
sending something through some objects."
The vortex pulsed a couple times, then ejected a young man with
black hair done in a pigtail
-CONVERGENCE-
"Hello, my name is Ranma Saotome. Sorry about this."
[cut abruptly to next scene]
"WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T GO BACK?!?!?!?!"
"What I mean is even if I could get it to work the same way again,
it's not likely it'll lead back to your home.

This will mostly follow the 'Sliders' storyline in a loose fashion.
This will last through the second season and then will take a turn
for the new, strange, and different. NO, they don't know about the
curse yet. He won't even get splashed until at least communist
world. [no liquid water on ice-age world.]
