It was a beautiful day on Stardust Island. A cool
breeze blew off the ocean, the warm sunlight reflected
off of the sand, giving the illusion of sparkling
stars, hence the name 'Stardust Island'. It was nice
that Queen Serenity had taken the time in her busy
schedule to invite the inner Royal Court to have a day
of relaxation. One member in particular was enjoying
it to the fullest.
Luna, in human form, was lying spread-eagle on the
beach, soaking up the warm sunlight in a modest
one-piece bathing suit. It was rare that she had time
to relax, what with taking care of the princess,
negotiating trade with the outer-planets, and all the
formal meetings of the Royal Court. When she had heard
the announcement, she had barely kept herself from
leaving the meeting with the Uranian ambassadors and
running off to get her things.
Now that she was here, however, she could care less
about trade with the outer-planets. Letting her mind
wander, she smiled and soon fell asleep to the sound
of the gently crashing waves.

Artemis stood on the beach and stretched his arms over
his head. In human form, and clad in white
swim-trunks, he had been watching the waves and idly
wondering how many fish he could catch for dinner.
Actually, he was supposed to be watching over the
princess, but she was playing with one of the young
nobles by the water's edge. He began to walk over to
them, humming an old melody he had since forgotten the
name of.
At the sight of the tall white-haired man, the
princess squealed with delight. She grabbed her
playmate's hand and pulled her over to Artemis. She
introduced her, saying,
"Arty-chan! This is Jaiko-chan! She comes from
Peas!... no... Pe.. Peh.. Pah... Oi, what was it
called, Jaiko-chan?"
The smaller girl blushed and whispered something into
the princess' ear. The princess smiled and nodded
enthusiastically.
"Right! She comes from Pax!... Where is Pax,
Jaiko-chan?"
Jaiko blushed again and mumbled something. The
princess squinted her eyes and cupped a hand behind
her ear.
"Ne, Jaiko-chan, I can't hear you!"
Artemis smiled and knelt before the small child,
saying,
"Jaiko-chan, Pax is on Io, right?"
The girl nodded her head and smiled a little.
"I have a cousin who lives in Pax, maybe you know him.
Do you know Icarus?"
Jaiko shook her head and looked at her feet. Artemis
frowned. There had to be some way to overcome her
shyness. He thought for a few seconds, then came up
with a great idea.
"Oi, Serenity-chan, Jaiko-chan... you two want to play
a game?

Luna was flying through space, her long raven hair
blowing in an invisible wind, and stars moving past
her at great speeds. There was a distinct odor of
raspberries that permeated the air she was breathing.
Suddenly, she began to drift towards a group of stars
to her left, the wind dying down to a gentle breeze.
The group of stars began to move about in spirals as
she moved closer, and then suddenly shot out towards
her. They began to surround her, attaching themselves
all over her body. They pressed down on her until she
couldn't move anymore. More followed, until it seemed
the entire galaxy had buried Luna under a heavy coat
of stars...
Then she woke up.

"Oi, no fair! She woke up!" cried Princess Serenity as
she placed more sand on Luna's stomach. Jaiko giggled
and patted more sand over Luna's legs.
"Wha- What is the meaning of this??" Luna cried. She
struggled against her sandy prison, but could not get
out. This cause Jaiko to giggle hysterically and place
more sand onto the pile.
"Luna-chan, me 'n Jaiko-chan were playing a game to
see who could pile the most sand on you before you
woke up!" explained the princess. She pouted, saying,
"You weren't supposed to wake up on my turn, though."
"I see... Wasn't Artemis supposed to be looking after
you two?" asked Luna.
"Hai, he's watching us! He's watching us from on top
of the sand dune over there!" the princess said and
pointed to somewhere behind Luna's head. "Arty-chan!"
called the princess, "I think Luna-chan wants to talk
to you!"

When Luna had woken up, Artemis thought it would be
prudent to be out of her line of sight. From his perch
on the sand dune he could look over the ocean, and
keep an eye on the girls at the same time.
"Arty-chan! I think Luna-chan wants to talk to you!"
Artemis gulped and stood up. As he walked over to the
buried Luna, he prayed that her tongue-lashing would
be less severe than when he had accidentally eaten her
dinner last week.
"Artemis, would you mind explaining this?" said Luna.
"Explaining what?" he replied, feigning innocence.
"This!"
"I can't see what you're pointing to, Luna-chan." he
said, causing the girls to giggle. Luna gritted her
teeth and said,
"Serenity-chan, Jaiko-chan, I think it is lunch time.
Go back to the tent and get ready."
"Waii! Food!" cried the princess and grabbed Jaiko's
hand, pulling her along the beach towards the massive
tent. "Jaiko-chan, have you tried the dumplings that
Yokonata-san makes? They are so good..."
Artemis was sorry to see them leave. Not only were
they great company, but they helped keep Luna from
losing her temper and yelling at him. After all, who
would want to upset two adorable little kids?
Luna cleared her throat loudly.
"Artemis, shall we talk?"
Yes, Artemis was VERY sorry to see them leave.
