A small word on Dragonlance;

This is for all the poor souls which have never read Dragonlance, if you
have the chance. do so.
I strongly suggest:
The Chronicles Series, The Twins Series, and all the stories written by
Richard A. Knaack, who happens to be a great guy.
I'll put links to them in my page as soon as I get to update it.
Well, here it is:
****************************************************************************
************
Some years ago, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman created this world with
their trilogy; Dragonlance Chronicles.
Since then the series has GROWN. Almost up to 90 books last time I
checked, the Dragonlance world is one of the most complete and
tridimensional fantasy worlds ever written, with new species, and a complete
pantheon of 21 gods, 7 'good', 7 'neutral', and 7 'evil'. Each god has it's
own constellation in the sky, representing it's battle against the others.
The three main gods are: Paladine, represented by a platinium dragon, and
main good guy between the deities, Gilean is the main god of neutrality,
and. he's the right guy for it. He's represented in the sky by a
constellation that resembles a red book. And last but not least is Takhisis.
She's the goddess of evil and ruler of the Abyss, which might be hell for
some, she's represented by a five-headed dragon.
300 years before our story began, the world had fallen into the iron
hand of the Kingpriest, the 'pope' of Paladine's church. In an effort to
destroy all evil, he burned witches, killed anyone who wouldn't follow the
dogmas of the gods of good and covered everything in white silk so he wouldn
't see the result of his madness.
So great was his arrogance, that he forgot who he served, and, in a public
meeting in the city of Istar, he ORDERED THE GODS to make him one of them.
Since the beginning of time there had been a balance of forces, evil's
weight was counter-measured by the weight of good, the balance maintained by
the neutral gods.
The Kingpriest had broken that balance, and when he gave his order to the
gods, the gods made a fiery mountain destroy the city of Istar.
Such was the force of the impact that the world was completely reshaped,
where seas once were, now mountains rose to the sky. Where mountains were,
plains adorned the land as far as one could see.
And where the once-proud city of Istar stood, now was a vast chasm covered
by the waters of the Blood Sea.
As time passed, people blamed the gods for their own arrogance and
turned their backs to them, searching for the truth in other made up gods.
All the healing powers and magic the gods once gave to the world were
mostly forgotten. And the world stumbled on, with wars and bandits, until
finaly, seemingly peace came.
The Chronicles introduced us to the Companions; Tanis Half-Elven, Flint
Fireforege, Sturm Brightblade, Tasselhoff Burrfoot, and the Twins, Caramon
and Raistlin Majere: a ragtag group of adventurers that had gone their own
ways for 5 years, and returned home to find one of their own had forfeited
her vow to return there and was now serving a new lord, their home being
controlled by religious fanatics and goblins and other despicable creatures
walking the streets.
There they met two barbarians, a princess, Goldmoon, and her 'bodyguard
', Riverwind, which had been given a magical gift from the gods: the Blue
Crystal Staff.
For some reason, many people are looking for the Staff, and, in an effort to
find the truth, Goldmoon decided to go to the city of Haven and ask the wise
men there for their counsel.
That's all you need to know right now, as I go on with the series, I'll add
to this, okay?

Dragonlance belongs to TSR and whoever owns it right now, it's still the
creation of Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman and all the other writers that have
worked in this world, and I bow to them, since they have done something I
can only hope to achieve some day.
