An alternate ending to Pokémon: The First Movie,
MewTwo Strikes Back (Or MewTwo's Revenge, whichever
you prefer).

[The pokémon are fighting their clones - apparently to
the death.]
Misty: This is awful!
Other Girl Trainer: It really is!
Brock: Pokémon shouldn't be forced to fight!
[Misty looks over at Brock and glares at him. When he
fails to respond, she leans over and elbows him in the
ribs.]
Brock: Ow! What?
Misty: (muttering) Think about what you just said and
say it again... correctly!
Brock: Huh? Oh! (snaps fingers and clears throat)
Pokémon shouldn't be forced to fight........... like
this.
Misty: (nodding) Better.
Brock: I feel so dirty.
[The fight between MewTwo and Mew has reached its
highest point - they are faced off in the arena,
preparing to deliver the final blow.]
Ash: No! Stop! You have to stop!! (He runs between
the two outrageously powerful pokémon and is caught
between their chi-blasts, encased in a ball of light.
Suddenly, much to everyone's surprise, he turns into a
statue.)
Misty: Oh my gosh! Ash is stoned!
Brock: This is great. Just great. What are we going
to tell his mother now? "Oh, hello. No, Ash isn't
with us. But we do have this great lawn ornament to
give you and... my, you're right! It does look a lot
like Ash, doesn't it?"
[Pikachu shocks Ash in a vain attempt to bring him
back to life.]
Brock: (yelling) Hey, Pikachu! That isn't going to
work! Ash is more like a rock-type pokémon now! I
think we should hit him with water!
[All of the pokémon start crying, their tears
coalescing on Ash in the center of the room.]
Misty: Eww....
[To everyone's increased surprise, Ash miraculously
recovers in a style somewhat reminiscent of Peter
Pan...]
Ash: (sitting up, disoriented) Dude.... what a trip.
[All this time, Team Rocket has been sitting in the
background watching.]
James: Whoa! Did you see that, Jessie? The kid came
back to life!
Jessie: That's amazing!
Meowth: I don't know what the heck was in those
pokémon tears, but I think we ought to bottle it!
[Team Rocket begins to scheme - their new plan
involving forcing pokémon to cry in a style somewhat
reminiscent of Yukina in Yu Yu Hakusho.]
MewTwo: (telepathically) You know guys, this whole
plan of mine didn't turn out nearly as well as I
planned it. But I guess I proved my point - my copy
pokémon are much better than your pathetic originals.
So, I think I'll take my copy pokémon and erase all of
this from your memories so I can keep training them
and making them stronger. Then, when you least expect
it... (MewTwo laughs evilly... telepathically).
[All of the pokémon start flying away.]
Ash: Dude! (grabs Brock's arm) The pokémon, dude!
They're flying!
[Back at the Harbor...]
Ash: Dude, I barely remember a thing from the past
couple of days. Although I do remember this really
trippin' thing with a dancing bellsprouts and some
jigglypuffs. They were rollin' dude. Rollin'.
[Brock and Misty look at Ash and shake their heads.]
Narrator: Who knows what wonderful adventures and
battles lie in wait for our three travelers? But
what's become of Team Rocket?
[Back on New Island...]
James: ...... Jessie? How did we get on this island?
Jessie: I'm not sure James. I don't remember
anything from the past couple of days.
James: (sighs and puts his hand on his head) God, not
again. (Looks over at Meowth and blinks). What are
you doing here?
Meowth: (looking around, confused) I don't know.
Jessie: Well, this isn't the first time we've woken up
in a strange place with no recollection of the recent
past.
James: No, but it is the first time we've woken up
fully clothed and with Meowth.
[Scene pulls away to show the island from a distance.]
Team Rocket's voices: Ya na kanji....
