Hi! I was thinking about the idea I recently sent to the FFML, about
Ryoga discovering that the was a dhampir son of Dracula, and decided not to
go that route. Instead, I was thinking of having Ryoga a descendant of the
Belmont clan. A certain Belmont, perhaps Richter or even Simon (he hasn't
gotten much screentime lately) made a sojurn to Asia on a merchant ship, the
threat of Dracula and Castlevania having been banished for yet another
century, and fell in love with a Japansese woman. The two had a child once
she left with Simon, and took up residence in good ol' Transylvania. Some
time in the 1940's (perhaps earlier, depends on how one wants to look at how
much of the Asian blood had been bred out of the Belmont line by then), the
decendants of the union between the woman and Simon went back to Japan, and
after a while Ryoga Hibiki was born.
Flash forward to present day Nerima, and Dracula is about to return
a bit ahead of schedule. The odd occurrence brings Alucard out of his
self-imposed slumber. Expecting to find Castlevania once more on earth, he
is surprised to learn that Dracula is being reborn not in Transylvania, but
in Japan. Even more disturbing is that there are no more survivng Belmonts
left in the countryside. Undaunted, he sets off for Japan alone to end the
threat of his father. Once there, he meets Ryoga, and smells Belmont blood
in him. Also, cameos from Devil Hunter Yohko will probably pop up here and there
