Ranma Saotome is a young martial artist, studying, painting and
living a quiet life in the village of Nerima. Nerima is an oasis of peace
in a world at war, two great powers fighting a conflict for forgotten
cause and even greater powers manipulating them behind the scenes. Ranma
is oblivious to all of this--until the conflict comes to him.
When his village is devastated in a senseless battle between
gigantic war machines, Ranma will become the unwilling focal point of a
planet turning itself inside out. As a young prince struggles to reclaim
the birthright of the Hibiki Dynasty from a ruthless tyrant, as the insane
commander of the skyborne forces known as the Blue Thunder makes his
presence known on Earth, and as a manipulative and corrupt religion
struggles to maintain its grip on a desperate and hopeless people, Ranma
will find himself increasingly embroiled in events more and more beyond
his imagination. And will learn that that is not even the beginning.
Ranma will meet Akane Tendo--soldier for the Blue Thunder, loyal
agent of the ultimate enemy, but horrified at the actions she begins to
see unfolding. As they grow closer, events will escalate--and as they
begin to slowly suspect what each truly is to the other, cataclysm will
erupt.
The genesis of a world, the destiny of a race, and an eon's worth
of secrets are about to be laid bare. And Ranma Saotome will find out that
