Hopefully you shall enjoy it anyway. Went without prereaders too, which

Never go without prereaders. They tell you when you use "clip" when you
mean "magazine."
Heh. This is true.
Or perhaps she had just stopped giving a damn about the whole thing.
Or prehaps she had a wedgie and this was the perfect time to remedy the
situation.
Or as someone wrote to me, 'She needs a hobby. Something to relax her.
Maybe alcoholism.' ^_^
I see someone is of the "Mihoshi is more than she appears to be"
sentiment.
Lurker comments on this issue quite well, but I'll but my .02$ here as
well.
As he says, this is OVA Mihoshi who is a far cry more competent than her
counterpart in the TV series, and a lot more interesting. Also I've
borrowed bits and pieces (ie: Influences) from the manga as well, which
picks up where OVA six ended (No Kiyone. Mihoshi is interested in Tenchi)
and matches a lot better with OVA Mihoshi for obvious reasons. She has a
higher degree of competency, and is a lot more coherent. Though still has a
habit of making the wrong choices, stumbles over things, cries when the
situation blows up in her face. etc.
Also remember that at some point in her career she was competent enough to
be known by Kagato, (as well as him knowing she's been on the downslide
since) which means, at least here, she still has the ability to perform
correctly when a situation arises, but only when absolutely necessary.
A lot of Mihoshi's bumbling depends on whether or not she has her
'detective cap' on (someone else's quote) so to speak. A perfect example is
in the 'Mihoshi's Driver's Licence' story in the manga (Good story, BTW. I
highly recommend it) Basically Mihoshi continuously makes basic mistakes,
wrecks the driving school's training cars, and basically botches things up.
That is until a little girl gets kidnapped and Mihoshi has to rescue her.
In order to safely disable the kidnappers' car without getting the girl
hurt, Mihoshi is able to pursue the other car through a high speed heavy
traffic chase, fires out the window with one hand while still driving,
shoots a narrow cable on another moving truck a good distance in front of
her, which releases a tarp that falls across the windshield of the fleeing
car and forces them to stop without wrecking. That's the sort of vein this
Mihoshi's in. That's not to say she still won't botch things up, though.
rest assured. There'll still be plenty of that.
Mihoshi is far to verbal and coherent.
Hmm. Perhaps a little, even for OVA Mihoshi. I'll look it over.
She makes complicated points and
discusses involved topics with seeming ease. She's Mihoshi. She calmly
evaluates a potential combat situation
Well, while she did evaluate it before the shooting started, but came up
with the wrong answer (They're just nice new space aliens, and not evil
criminals bent on taking over the empire at all. We'll get closer)
She is a lot more coherentand chooses a course of action.
She's Mihoshi. She doesn't freeze up in panic
Hmm. I'm trying to remember a serious situation in which she did freeze up.
Nothing really comes to mind. Generally she gets right into the thick of
things.
or be destructive
As Lurker said, she managed to destroy every ship in the area, including
her own. I think that's plenty destructive enough.
while
bumbling and crying.
Actually she was crying. I mentioned it somewhere after the shooting
started. She did it a lot better than anyone on the RNR could have. ^_^
She's Mihoshi. See my point?
True. I might have made her a bit too coherent at times. I'll look it over
and see if I can't change a couple of lines here and there.
Also, wouldn't Tenchi be just a bit surprised by this change in the
blond bubble head?
Lurker explained it better than I could. We'll use his explanation. ^_^
I see the Mihoshi Effect is still working fine though. Sure it managed
to defy more laws of physics than I previously thought possible in that
expanse of time, but thats Mihoshi.
Yep. She has the ability to confound even Washuu. ^_^
I like Fera. If she dies, I shall be most upset.
You shall see. Nice to see one of the original characters is liked, even if
she is a bad guy.
Not much to say really. I liked it. Other than the problems with the
heroine, I really have nothing to say. Good job.
Thanks for the C+C
