Have you read a wonderful piece of work named "N'Sync and the Vampires"? No,
I'm not kidding. It really exists. And it's... certainly something. Here is
my little 10-minute homage to that piece of work.

Life was terribly unexciting at times. She, of all people, knew this to be
true: the times between Shinma attacks, when there was nothing but a
listless feeling of vague dread hanging in the air, empty space hanging as
she listened to the clock on the wall tick away the seconds of her eternal
life.
Eternal life... hm. It was overrated, really. The humans, especially the
cute boy with the girlfriend that had been a victim of that one Shinma,
always sought an escape. Curious how they thought that living forever would
be the key. Prolonged life did nothing more than extend the pain of
existence, and at times, was more of a hassle than anything.
Especially now, when she was sitting in her own private abode, waiting for
Larva to return with the news of the day's hunt.
Miyu turned, and flipped a strand of brown hair back, feeling the coolness
as it brushed against the nape of her neck and fell slowly back down into
place behind her. Their home was a small, and surprisingly-conventional
place: dinner table, lights, a small stereo lying on the nightstand and a
fridge in the corner that was next to a boxy old Sony television set.
Flicking the set on with a turn of one pale wrist, she sat back onto the
couch quietly and listened to the daily news pour out before her, recited in
the monotone voice of an anchorwoman who seemed to be oddly tired for some
reason. Maybe it was just her; she tended to notice things that others
didn't, subtle details that told more about a person than any action or word
would. The news didn't particularly concern her. In this world, it was just
the events of the day. There was nothing of interest that would be
particularly--
A flash of lights appeared on the screen. Miyu looked up, and noticed that
the news program had taken a short commercial break.
She reached for the dial, and was intent on shutting the set off before she
noticed the strains of a catchy pop tune filtering over the small, single
speaker.
Miyu slowly backed away from the screen, and as she did, the figure of a
well-muscled gaijin appeared, wearing what could be considered clothing but
was usually reserved for those more intimate moments in human life.
The gaijin sang.
o/` Girl! You know that there's something that I love..
But it's not you I'm thinkin' of! o/`
Her eyes widened as the shot panned to that of four other men, similarly
attired and aged, in the background. There was something... odd about them.
The five continued to dance as the song went on.
o/` I need the Ultimate Cheeseburger! o/`
The first man held a large, wrapped hamburger up to his face. "BREAK IT
DOWN!"
Thoughts spun, whirled, and focused. These were no normal gaijin, she
thought. They had a glow about them... no human is truly that physically
attractive. They were beautiful. They were perfect. They were advocating
something potentially unhealthy.
Miyu could apply one name to that.
Shinma.
This time she turned the television set off for good, right as the speakers
were blaring out "and Jack won't make it till you order it!" She knew what
needed to be done, and it needed to be done immediately. Larva would have to
delay his report until the two of them had eradicated the menace from the
Western hemisphere of this world.
They already had public access on television. It was a huge, but not
unmanageable, head start for them.
We shall see, won't we? she thought slowly, turning over the idea that was
forming in her mind like a dark jewel, replaying the sight of the five
perfect beings before her on television.
Yes. We shall see.
With that, Miyu laid down to rest, having silently declared a war against
the Shinma known as... the Meaty Cheesy Boys.
