Okay, I want to first say that this was a 10 min-spur-of-the-moment kind of thing.  I got the idea after watching the final tape of the Saber Marionettes J Again series.  As usual, the SMJ series hits you with an extreme WAFFY feeling.  Which not even I can deny.  If you haven't already seen it, go get it as soon as possible.  For those who haven't, you might not want to read this, because it is built off the very end.  So needless to say this is a spoiler.

Either way, I hope you enjoy this short piece.

"Wet Dreams"



Marine nestled her feet snuggly in the moist warm sand, as the cool breeze wisped pass her face.  She raised her hand to head, so that she could shade her eyes from the blinding sun.  There was a sense of joy and happiness as she watched her friends playing at the shoreline.  Cherry and Luch were competing to see who could build the best sandcastle.  They both were working hard and their castles looked beautiful.

Just beyond them, she could see Bloodberry and Panda.  The two of them were waxing down their surfboards, as they prepared to catch some waves.

Marine started to descend forward to meet up with them.  As she stepped forward, she noticed a kite flying in the sky above her.  She followed its string down to its origin.  Tiger was holding it as Faust helped her guide it back and forth.  She stepped a little farther and saw Lorelei, Lime, and Otaru burying Hanagata neck deep into the sand. Marine couldn't help but giggle when she saw the expression on his face.

Lime looked up and saw Marine coming.  She put down her spade and picked up a few things to show her.  Marine waited patiently as Lime over anxiously jumped up and down with the treasures she had found.  She presented an arm full of seashells to her.  Lime put them all down at her feet, and then picked out the best one.  She handed it to Marine, who then placed it up to her ear as she listen to the sound of the wind as it whistled through it.  Lime looked so happy as she told her friend that she was going to find a sea ponta next.  Marine didn't say anything, all she did was smile as she enjoyed the moment.  She had the ocean and her friends around her and she hoped that this feeling would never end.

Lime walked up to Marine and rested her hand on her friend's head.   She was lying still on the table.  Lorelei walked up beside Lime and the two of them were silent for a while, as they both looked down at Marine.  Lime lifted her hand and rubbed her left eye, which was now watering.

"Lorelei, how has Marine been coming along?"

"It's day to day.  Her body and circuitry are functional, but she still is not fully operational.  I'm working on her as much as possible.  As for now, her state of being is at the best it can be."

"Will she ever be alright?"

"Lime...  Her maiden circuit and memories are intact.  She may not entirely be with us, but she is still whole.  There is enough functional activity within her to result in computational random memory processing loops."

"What does that mean?"

"She's dreaming."

Lime moved her hand from her face.  She looked at Lorelei and then back at Marine.  "I wonder what she is dreaming of," said Lime.  "I'm sure whatever it is, it will make her happy," replied Lorelei.

A single tear slowly traveled down Lime's cheek and fell from her chin. It splashed on Marines face.  At that moment, a small smile formed on her face. Lime looked at it and smiled also.

"You're right Lorelei.  I'm sure she's having a good dream."
