This is some great C&C. I am honored that you, an
author/co-author/prereader
of several fanficion pieces that I enjoy, took time to share a few
comments
with me, and I value your opinions. (BTW, I greatly enjoyed 'Twice in a
Millenium")

Thanks.

You ask a lot of questions, and most are ones that I can't answer without
spoiling the story, and the rest are questions I can't answer because
it'll
ruin the story.

First off, I am NOT fishing for spoilers, Just making
some on the fly observations/speculations/corrections.
The goal is more to show how things appear (to me, at least)
so you can make appropriate changes, if you want to.

A lot of people I pre-read for bounce ideas off me and I
bounce mine off them, so I often throw in speculations.

<...>
"He let Akane to discover my new hiding place for some of

                xx

Uhm... huh?

Okay, I should have set some ground rules. C&C like this should
be read using a fixed width font. (Courier, for example) the xx
is SUPPOSED to line up with 'to' and means the 'to' can be deleted.

<...>
"Think of them as video game henchmen using cheat
codes." Neo stated.

Now THAT'S a nice metaphor.

When's the last time you played a game that had some baddies with some
really cheap-ass moves?

Exactly my point.

<...>
Ryoga snatched the pill and analyzed it carefully.

Too bad he doesn't have the Mercury Computer...
Darn, wrong Matrix crossover.

Whoaaaaaaaaa... not a bad idea! Unfortunatly, Sailormoon ain't my gig. :)
I'll leave that to you. I don't know if a SM/Matrix crossover can be done
well... then again, they said the same of a Ranma/Matrix crossover, didn't
they?

Well, may I direct you to:
http://www.ozemail.com.au/~dzillman/fire/

specifically:
http://www.ozemail.com.au/~dzillman/fire/one_shot/mercury.txt

Fire isn't on the FFML (I believe). This is a GOOD story.

<...>

"They're not your real family, Akane."

     "HOW DARE YOU!" Akane fumed.

"It's the truth, Akane! If I were to free them out of the
matrix right now and do a DNA test it would show that you're
totally unrelated to them. They're all random souls grouped to form
a family. It's all part of the illusion. None of it is real, Akane.
NONE of it." Trinity elaborated.

But, in a sense they ARE her family. Kasumi, Nabiki, and Soun
would still have the same feelings for her. The attachment they
felt is REAL, regardless of whether they are a biological
family. Kasumi was still there to patch up little Akane's
scraped knees, etc... even if only in the program.
Now HERE's an interesting question/idea are Cologne
and Happosai REAL or constructs?

The point I was trying to make (unsuccessfully) was that even though
they -felt- like a family, there was no relation. Then again, yes the
emotional attachments would still be there... I may need to tweak this a
bit...

Okay, Any chance of Akane going off (with Ranma's help, and some
others) and attempting an extraction later? No mater WHAT these
people say, the emotions are NOT artificial, just the sensations.

Again, I am NOT fishing for spoilers.

Continued good luck on your story!
