Hi!

I have a question, probably stupid-looking for some, but here is it: in a lot of fanfics, there is a few references about animes, like song lyrics.  I was wondering if they were necessary for an interesting fic??
I would  like to know if shinmas are just an invention from the Vampire Princess Miyu or fi there is a webpage where I could find some infos on them, it would help me a lot.
