Geez, ever since I posted 'Interface' I've gotten a FLOOD of praise, and all
I can say is -thank you-!
I'm continuing it at full thrust, and if there's any
problems/questions/concerns, please let me know. I'll be posting it
regularly at different phases of completion. I anticipate a complete draft
in aprox a month, provided that my muse continues to see me through this
project.
I do, however, want to bring up a few things that some people addressed to
me in email...:
--------From Joshua Loomis:
XStylus,
I don't really care what anyone else says... you've
got a good story here. You've mixed the elements of
Ranma and the Matrix better than most, if not all, of
the others on this list. It was especially fun to see
Trinity face-vault, and that the Matrix crashed into
an abort/retry/fail. Anyway, I hope you continue this
line...I'm with you all the way!
Yours,
Joshua Loomis (Cougar-chan)

I was trying to start things off with a little light hearted humor here and
there. It's gonna get a bit more serious now, but I'll try and keep some of
that in. I'm making a promise to myself though... thou shalt not turn this
into an angsty fic! If I break that promise, please do not hesitate to give
me a natured razing and a sound thrashing.
I -could-not-resist- doing the Abort/retry/fail gag. Hehehehe... the wrath
of Bill Gates lives on...! To those people who didn't get the gag, open up a
MS-DOS window and type A: <enter> while there's -not- a disk in the floppy
drive.
-------
Dagmar-chan, thank you for the C&C. Good points all, and you're suggestions
(almost all of them) will be reflected in the next draft. :)
(This was the only guy brave enough to come forward to me with problems
<grin>)
-------From George P. Masologites:
Very nice. ^_^ I still haven't C&Ced your other fic, I know, but I just
wanted to let you know that I like the style you used for this fic better
than the one you used for Parity...
-------Reply:
Hehehe... I'm glad you like my new writing style. To be honest, I have to
give credit to Jim Lazar. I analyzed the hell out of his works and now I'm
trying to emulate his style. I don't think I got it quite right, but you say
it works so I'll stick with it.
Parity is more or less a -long term- project for me. I re-read chapter 1,
and it DOES need a lot of work, especially with all the storyline changes
I'm making at the last minute. I'm glad you like my new writing style (I'm
trying to emulate Jim Lazar's), and it's actually a bit easier for me to
work with, and it's how I wrote chapter two of Parity. I like being
descriptive, but I realize there can be a such thing as -too much-, and I do
better with dialogue anyway. If you haven't finished reading Parity, don't
sweat it. Ya' might as well wait until I rewriting it. Oh, and a little
confession to make, George... Parity is my first fanfic. I wasn't expecting
you to call it a masterpiece. <grin>
-------From Rebeka Thomas:
CONTINUE PLEASE!!!
-------Reply:
<blown out of chair, hair swept back> YES MA'AM!
-------From Timothy Miller:
Hmmm. I may like this one better than I liked the other one ... ^^ You did a
better job of weaving the two together, following the "feel" of the movie
(and integrating the "feel" of Ranma 1/2 as well).
Too bad you've classified this as a one-shot already. ^^
-------Reply:
Whaddya mean TOO LATE? If it gets really popular (which it seems to be),
I'll keep writing for it. I'm not going to make an ongoing series out of it
ohnonononono... but I can -extend- it a bit...
-------
Thanks to all the others who've praised me along the way! Time for me to get
back to work...
