FFN: All Fanfiction news, all the time...
Broadcast 1: A beginning of sorts

From the darkness of television silence appears the flaming logo of
FFN, the FanFiction News Network. After a few seconds, this visage
fades away, to be replaced by the main news studio. The anchor desk
is empty, a revolving FFN displayed on the holographic insert screen.
"Dammit, where is Hibiki! Someone find that boy!" Stalking past
the camera, a black haired girl with a clipboard turns to one of
the technicians. "Yes, I know we're on the air!"
"I'll fill in for him, Raye," another black haired girl sits behind
the anchor desk, dressed in a blue suit. Raye stops pacing, and
recues the camera. "Alright, Akane."
Akane hastily glances at her notes, before addressing the camera.
"Good evening, and welcome to the 3 o'clock news. I'm Akane Tendo,
filling in tonight for Ryoga Hibiki."
The holoscreen behind her flickers, a visage of destruction and
mecha appearing. "Late last night, near the Hylander military
complex in downtown Tokyo, a BlackHawk-KU prototype was ambushed
by several as-yet-unidentified persons equipped with power armor."
The image changes to show police officers scouring the rubble.
"As always, we'll report on the first juicy comments from the
local police forces."
"In other news, a renegade section of personnel here at Serenity
Tower broadcast earlier today, against studio mandates. This was
given to management communications problems, and quickly dismissed."
Akane tears at her notes for a few seconds, before finding her
intended page.
"And now, with the financial news, we turn over to Nabiki Te-"
The camera shifts to the support anchor desk, where we see a black
haired boy in a red chinese business suit. "-ndo... Ranma?!"
"Nabs couldn't make it today, so I'm fillin' in for her." He turns
towards the camera, ignoring the violent words coming from the anchor
desk. "The latest polls from Nerima show that incidents of naked
Amazons have dropped, perhaps in the face of increasing rains over
Tokyo. Also, public opinion indicates that being uncute _does_ have
an influence on your dating quotient."
"Ranma! How dare you say that on public television!" Akane leaps
over her anchor desk, pulling out a large bag of pizza toppings.
"C'mon, can't you take a little joke, Akane?" Flattened beneath the
toppings, he quickly retreats from the studio. Raye gets between
the camera and the ongoing bloodbath. "This has been the 3 o'clock
news, brought to you by the HotSpot Pizza Delivery Team. Three weeks
of nonstop delivery goodness!"
"Ranma no baka! Get back here so I can show you how to REALLY
kill you with a giant rock!"
The camera fades out to black.

Author's notes: Took awhile to figure out how to start the broadcasts.
Anyway, FFN Network is the name, not FFNN. Channel 99, based in the
Serenity Tower, home of RyoSoft Media Productions. The idea that
Josh Temple presented in his posts is still a good one, though. Since
I did name it FanFiction News... btw, Hylander Military Industries
and the Blackhawk-KU are from my AltVerse BattleTech series. RyoSoft
is my company name.
