Subject: [FFML] [Admin] Regarding The Various Ranma/Matrix Threads

Okay. I've let this go on longer than I normally would have, because the
exchange of ideas does seem to have born fruit, judging solely by the
number of fics produced. But the threads relating to the original idea
post and its various offshoots have basically become a series of one- or
two-line responses and "my two cents" posts. In the interests of
preventing the threads from engulfing the list any more than they already
has, I'm issuing a ban on further on-list discussion about various ideas or
interpretations of Ranma/Matrix crossovers.

Actual stories based upon the concept and commentary upon them are still
very welcome. Be sure to keep your commentary on-topic to the particular
story, however; commentary that tries to start more discussion about the
almost endless ways in which a Ranma/Matrix story could be done or how the
two worlds could be fitted together will be frowned at, and then squashed
with a big heavy stick.

In short, fanfics and commentary on fanfics good, endless on-list
discussion of ideas not so good. There are millions of ways to do any
particular idea. This doesn't mean the entire list needs to hear about
your particular way of doing it. The best way to use your ideas is to
write fanfics out of them.
