I can't believe anyone has yet to call Ranma the Two, or the Half (though
the former sounds better).

Someone suggested that Nannichuan/Nyannichuan exist to justify/whatever people
whose Matrix-gender doesn't match their physicial gender.

What if, instead, it was used somehow to adjust/fix valuble (read massive ki
generators) people who suffered from some sort of mental problem? By binding
together two people who have some sort of mental condition, it allows them
to get one functioning person.

This is the most half-assed suggestion yet. Look, mental problems are not caused
by a lack of some sort in a personality. Combining two people into one identity
will NOT solve any problem they might have. Rather, it would probably GIVE them
a MPD(Multiple Personality Disorder). Now, if someone had a major personality
problem related to their mental gender not being the same as their physical
gender, then this would be reasonable. This is the main reason why sex-changes
are done today. People realize that they are not-mentally-the same gender as
their physical gender. I read a medical journal that talked about this,
something about it being visible on a CAT scan. Male and female brains are
different.

Of course that runs into the problem that in order to make the concept work,
P-Chan would have to be a pig that mentally identifies with humans, and
Mouse would have to be a duck with the same problem. How you'd explain
Genma is beyond me.
