Actually, the lead character is very gifted at both
soccer and detecting and uses his skill at soccer as a

About his skill at soccer well I thought that it was abvious the he was
good at it, I sawe him once take down an assasain whe he shot one
helmet, made it bouce back at one beat ant the hit him in the head.
(My curiosity will one day kill me: 'tennis' is a
game, not a title. Who are you referring to?)
My mistake, I was talking about the special shoes the he wears, he also
has some other gadgets, like a radio transmitter and an inventiomn in
his tie to make him speack like the detective. (you know the old one who
never has any idea of the cases :)
The plot is interesting enough, still sometime the
stories are plain silly ^_^
That explanation's not *exactly* right - but I've
mailed a more precise explanation to the original
poster and I'll be happy to do the same to anybody
else who's interested in Detective Conan.
I'm not saying that all the chapters are silly in fact many of them are
quite good, but still there are a few of those that are just a big joke.
(especially when the kids of his gang start investigating cases.)
And now that I've said that, and as I don't believe
anyone is writing a Conan fic at the moment, if
anybody wants to talk more about Conan-kun, let's take
it to private mail.
