I DO actually own a couple of Ghostbusters manga (yes manga) and there
were some short manga stroies also serialized.....
I'll admit this left me up in the air about how to exactly classify
this.

It all depends on how you define "Anime."

If, to you, Anime is strictly animated movies, and
Shows from Japan, then no Ghostbusters is not
Anime.

However, if Anime is a level of quality for
Animated art, then Ghostbusters could be
considered "American Anime."
