You have no idea of how sorely tempted I was to do that, but I think the
misnaming gag had pretty much run its course by that time.
The touch of a different button caused twin buzzsaws to extend from their
concealed positions in the front of the car. The Mach 5 only slowed down
slightly as the saws tore through the police cars like they were composed

Funny comic relief scene. Rather more silly than this series has been so
far. I certainly don't mind, but I hope the series doesn't lose its
serious side.
Nah, it won't. I just wanted to keep up the humor in this thing. It gets
more serious after the introduction of Mousse's mentor. Besides, not every
anime character that wants to be a supervillain is cut out for the job, and
when was the last time you got to see Speed Racer in a fanfic? ^_^
Also hope to see more of this. :)
Hopefully I can have the chapter finished up by next week. This one has
actually been pretty hectic. This was just a quick write up of some
handwritten pages I had in a folder from a few weeks back.
