Heh...been a while since I've given any indication as to my current status.
In fact, it's been so long since I've said anything around here that
there's actually people who don't cower in terror at the very mention of my
name. It's past time to remedy that...
I've been on a rather extended writing hiatus. I don't know why; I just
haven't been up to writing much lately. But hopefully, that trend is about
to break in the near future. When it does, some older works are going to
receive a bit of attention, while new projects will be oiling the gears,
preparing for my full return to the writing world.
First and foremost, something that, surprisingly, a few people actually
give a damn about: Pencils. Yep, it's been a long time since a chapter's
been posted. Folks probably thought the project got scrapped. Well, it's
alive and kicking, with a little changeup in the partners in crime, and
within a few weeks, Kami willing, the brand new chapter one will be ready
to roll. If you read Pencils before, don't skip this one, because
practically the entire thing will be different than the version posted a
year ago.
Next, I'll address Nibun no Senshi Sailormoon. If you've visited my website
recently, you may have read the blurb about that. I've been in the process
of revising the first six chapters, rewriting them to make them more
palatable and meatier. But as I was doing so, the same thing which ceased
work on the project the first time around reared its ugly head: where to go
from here? The reason there hasn't been a new chapter in ages is because,
frankly, I ran out of ideas. Fortunately...a lot of other people have
*great* ideas for this one, so after I get the first six chapters cleaned
up and looking spifferoony, I'm opening the sucker up as a heavily
moderated indie-impro. Heavily moderated, that is, in the sense that (a) I
have to personally approve anything and everything written, and (b) there
won't be open public signups; I'll be taking authors in by invitation only.
Some authors have already been drafted--you know who you are. >:D
And now, a brief word on my other, older works:
Onna: I only have one piece of news regarding Onna at this time. This
fanfic will no longer be known as Onna: Red Side vs. Yellow Side, because
there will be no Yellow Side. Therefore, Red Side will now be known simply
as 'Onna'. Don't ask why Yellow Side is canned. It just is. The Lurker has
Spoken.
Don't expect to see anything new on Onna for a while, nor on Suiseiki. Not
until I can actually get up the muse to work on them again. Don't nag me
about them. It'll only make me put them off even longer.
And now, for the good news.
In order to get my mojo going again, and because at the moment it's all I
feel like writing, I'm about to delve heavily into the realm of Pokemon, to
produce what will hopefully be a nice, long string of humble Pokemon fics.
Remember Journeys? I'm rewriting it to make it look better, and dividing it
up into individual episodes. It'll be a series, with its own page on my
website.
In addition to Journeys, I have plans for at least one other series, a
number of one-shots, and one long, sprawling comedic drama experiment.
Here's the details:
Pokemon: Journeys - The chronicles of the continuing adventures of Ash,
Brock, Misty, and co., branching off of the canon Pokemon timeline and
delving into the depths of weirdness.
Pokemon: The PokeDex Files - A series of episodic Pokemon adventures
featuring situations so strange, They didn't want you to know about them...
Pokemon: The Labors of Training - An experimental comedic drama, involving
a situation made likely by the peculiarities of the Pokeverse. Possibly
highly controversial. You can probably guess what it's about from the
title.
Pokemon: Taste le Originale - One-shot, original flavor Pokemon 'omake'
episodes.
Tired of hearing me ramble yet? Okay, just a little more, then we're done.
