Excellent fic. The interaction between Yui and Gendo is very 
believable. Makes me kinda jealous - I wish I could write 
interactions like that. Just one bit that I think needs replied to...

I don't really think that they're that far out of character. I mean, 
we don't really get to see what either of them were really like back 
in their college days - who's to say that Gendo *wasn't* a sort of 
unconfident/sort of cocky SOB like you've portrayed him? I think it 
actually works pretty well - and I could easily see your version of 
Gendo metamorphosing into the EVA version of Gendo, especially if he 
really cared for Yui as much as your fic says.

As for Yui.... well, we don't know too much of anything at all about 
her, other than she was part of the project (no pun intended), 
married Gendo because he was sweet on the inside (or however she put 
it), and had Shinji as a son.

Can't wait to see more (there is going to be more, right?)
