Well this is the FFML not the AFFML (Anime Fan-Fiction Mailing List). So,
until they change the name I'll
guess that all fan-ficts are welcome.

Just to clarify the situation about non-anime fanfics on the ML...

First, a quote from the FAQ:

]* WHAT IS THE FANFIC MAILING LIST?
]
]The fanfic mailing list (FFML, or ML for short) is a forum for authors
]and fans to discuss fanfics (fanfiction stories) with an anime/manga
]theme that are posted to the FFML. Generally, this means stories
]involving settings, characters, props, attacks or any combination of the
]above from anime/manga.
]
]And just in case you don't know what anime or manga is, anime refers
]to Japanese animation (cartoons) and manga refers to Japanese graphic
]novels (comic books).

Technically, fanfics that don't use at least some elements of anime/manga
shouldn't be posted to the list. There are numerous other forums for them
on-line, and the reception of your non-anime fanfics would probably be
better there than here.

At this time, we haven't really come down on people posting non-anime
fanfics because very few of them get posted. If it ever became a genuine
problem--say, if every second or third fanfic posted was unrelated to anime
or manga--we'd simply clamp down on the posting of them.

In short? You shouldn't post your non-anime/manga fanfics here, but it's
not enough of a problem that we feel the need to get authoritarian about it.

Yet.

fanfics)
