It'd be lot better if you had just written out a rough draft of a portion of

Maybe. Once a die-hard Asuka fan, I now find it highly unlikely that Asuka 
would even 'accidentally' do it with Shinji, or any other boy (except perhaps 
Kaji). She's against having a baby. Even if it happened, I seriously doubt 
she would have any problems with miscarriage. She doesn't want to have a 
baby, after all, as indicated in later episodes of the series.

However... if this fic took place at later time, with an older Asuka, this 
might have been different.
