Tenchi Muyo is catergorized as a comedy, but each of the characters (save
Mihoshi, but then we really don't know too much about her past) carries
around with them some rather heavy emotional baggage. It is a pleasure for
me to read fics that explore these issues (w/o getting too dark, reality
is dark enough these days). Thank you for writing this. It is one very
valid way to view Tenchi's relationship with his father. Personally
though, I see it different. :-)
