you get *pink* hair? >>
Now there's an inspiring question...
I don't own Sailor Moon, someone else does, and I hope they won't sue me for
this.
Lazy readers beware, this fic has been given two different endings.
Birth
By Ryo Hoshi
Nine months ago, my queen turned up on my doorstep. Literally.
I'm one of the lucky ones: this house has been in my family for
centuries, and I've yet loose it. With luck, it'll still be in my family a
millennium from now.
But I digress. She turned up on my doorstep that morning, in disguise.
It was rather good, but I could see through it anyway. There are advantages
to not being full human, I guess. Like my mind.
Over my cup of coffee and her cup of tea, she told me why she was there.
She needed a daughter. As a senshi, she couldn't have one the normal
way and so she need my help, the help of the greatest biotech in Crystal
Tokyo.
I did ask her why she didn't go to Washu, but she refused to tell me. I
guess that's because she didn't really want it to get out that the senshi are
infertile, and, as her loyal subject, I could be trusted.
So I took a sample of her blood, and spent the rest of the day in my
genetic files, finding the right genes to use to make a princess. I did
mostly use her mother's genes, but I added touches from several other women
to make the princess different from her mother, to lessen the chances of
anyone guessing.
I suppose I shouldn't have worked into the small hours of the night in
dim light of in my lab, as she ended up with pink hair and red eyes. I
should confess now: I was trying to give her nice black hair and deep blue
eyes. To make her look a bit like her father, really. But I clipped the
wrong codes -- I was going for the power of a girl from another dimension.
Rina something, I think her name was. Ken's pronunciation was as bad as his
techno-magic was good.
Well, that was nine months ago. Now 'Chibi Usa' was ready to be born,
and I'd get that flask of real Spring of Drowned Girl. Ken and I could be
together, forever...
All I have to do is go with Sailor Pluto to the palace, where the queen
is 'giving birth,' and leave. It's that simple...but why do I feel
so...doomed?
Well, if all goes well, and it will, I'll just erase this. But just in
case...
First ending:
Yuri stopped the ancient machine and the room was silent.
Finally, the old man who sat at the head of the table spoke up. "We
should release this, let the public see it, hear it."
The woman to his right shook her head. "No. It's not a good idea to
remind people of the dark side of Crystal Tokyo yet. We've only just have
gotten peace, let's wait until things are more stable to release this. I
move that we hold this for release in ten years."
"I second the motion," the old man said with a slight smile.
The vote was unanimous, and the shimmering disk was sealed in their safe.
Before the ten years were up, however, the Atlantians, as they called
themselves, struck, and the disk was forgotten, left to be found by later
archeologists...
Second ending:
Jiro took the disk out from its hiding place and smiled at it. It
hadn't been needed, after all. He went into his home and tossed the disk
into the disposal where it was quickly turned into small fragments.
