That's probably good advice; I'll mull this and see what develops. I
notice you haven't said anything about the notion that Taro would be
interested in Kasumi; is that plausible?
Well, since you asked... :)
I think that the way you've set it up, an *initial* interest in each
other is certainly plausible. Kasumi wants a family of her own;
Pantyhose can offer her that, and he seems to need the stability and
affection that she can offer him. Is he her type? Maybe not, but with
Tofu having fallen down an open sewer and all ^_^ she's not in a
position to be choosy, and she might see him as someone who might become
her type with a little guidance.
This echoes my thinking on the matter. Another thing I was trying to show
is that Kasumi was attracted to *Ranma* a little, and may actually be
interested in a life that is a little less humdrum than hers, especially
since she has the example of Akane, who is thriving in the excitement of
sharing Ranma's very weird life. It may be Taro's similarities to Ranma
that interest her, not the prospect of Taming the Minotaur.
OTOH, the real question is whether their relationship would work in the
long run. There are some serious obstacles they'll have to overcome. The
thing that comes to my mind is that their visions for the future are
probably quite different. Kasumi might want to settle down to a quiet
family life with four children and a big house in the suburbs. I'm not
too sure what Pantyhose wants, but it's more than likely quite
different.
"World domination", wasn't it? :) The question is whether he REALLY
wants that, or it's just a phase. I'm still trying to figure
Pantyhose-Taro out. He's... opaque. The only thing I have to go on here
is that he seemed to be interested in those girls he rescued (before they
asked his name), and they seemed to be pretty domestic-types.
So, IMO, whether things'll work out or not is unclear. But that's good,
'cause it keeps us readers guessing.
Hell, I'm guessing. I have no idea whether those two have enough in
common for a long-term relationship...
Thanks for the comments!
