Erk. I got two of the four references. No points for guessing which
two. Some quick web research yielded a few bajillion pages devoted to
Michael Moorcock, so I'm assuming his works are the other half of the
equation.
The big and unspoken joke in this idea, however, is in
the Hawkmoon series of stories: at one point, Jhary
takes Hawkmoon (or in this case, Ranma) to an alternate
reality where Hawkmoon turned into Iliana Garathorm, a
*female* version of the eternal champion. (Did I spell
her name right? It's been years since I read those
books....)
An interesting concept - a spamfic, or a beginning? If the latter, I
would only say that while it's all well and good to have us be told that
Akane is still partly the suspicious, violent Akane we know and love, it
would be nice for her to show it as well. Y'know, forget all those past
lives and just belt him one every now and then.
Waiting for more, considering reading some Moorcock

If the author ever gets around to writing it and has
four champions meeting and fighting against the beast
in the tower, howzabout Ranma, Ataru Moroboshi, Leon
McNicol, and Rupan III? ^_^
