Chapter 5: Evangelist
I walked through the school. Through hall after hall after hall. My
shoes made a slight sound against the tile white floor as I showed Sarah
around. The walls were white just like the floor. But most of the walls
were covered up by lockers for the 856 student's in the school.
I pointed to the left towards the green door with the number 1016 on
it. "That's one of the ten science labs here. That ones in the worst
condition and is used for biology."
Sarah nodded, finding this completely boring. She had agreed to this
but she didn't know why. Only about ten minutes of sight seeing to go.
Then they might have lunch. She wished he would just shut up so they
could have lunch!.......
Mrs. Davis sighed as she moved into the dark forested area. No one
was around, nor did they ever come due to the rather unpleasantness of
this place. It was wet, muddy, full of insects. Tress were rotting and
fallen down all over creating a rather, disgusting, scene. But it was a
private place, and that was important.
She pulled a Cellular phone from her black coat pocket and dialed
seven digits. The dial tone went, once, twice, thrice. And then someone
picked up saying, "Hello?"
Mrs. Davis smiled, at least she was able to get through to Aly.
"Aly. I was wondering about Morbid. Was class clearance does he have. He
seems to be acting a little strange lately."
"Okay just let me punch it up on the computer." There was the sound
of buttons being pushed on the keyboard and then after three or four
minutes the woman on the phone spoke up. "Sorry Nikee. Morbid has level
10 clearance on the situation. And there are also special order's that
member's of the E.S.F don't get involved directly. If there are any
problem's. It say's to send a complaint to H.Q and they'll look at it."
Mrs. Davis felt anger rising up inside of her. Level 10 clearance
was the highest possible for anyone not holding the seat. "Damnnit Aly!
Don't give me that crap! You know the forms are ignored. Why the hell is
this guy's mission so important!?"
There was the sound of more buttons being pushed and then a loud
sigh. "Sorry. That information seem's to be restricted to level 10
clearance. This is out of your league Nikee. Whatever it is, it's big,
very big."
Mrs. Davis, or Nikee as she's also called had reached bursting point
when it came to her anger. "Listen! I have a job to do, k? Your my best
friend, and leader of the information branch of the E.S.F so can you
just tell me what's going on? I know you know what's going on."
"I'm sorry Nikee, this is out of my league also. I only have the
most basic information but even that is level 9 restricted. And if I
give that away to you, a person with level 7 clearance, I won't lose my,
job, no. This is so big that I'll lose my life."
"Damn you! Just tell me what's going on or I'll make you pay."
"Threatening a superior, you know that's a very big offense. Could
cost you eighty thousand dollars, American, as retribution."
Mrs. Davis sighed in defeat. Whatever this project was it was out of
her control. She couldn't rely on anyone but herself. "Fine. Well then
bye."
"Okay. See ya Nikee! And just one thing. Don't think of interfering
in the operation, if you want to stay alive that is."
Mrs. Davis then hung up on Aly. "Damn her! I'll do more then
interfere! Whoever this bastard is he's up to something, and I'm going
to stop him!"........
Me and Sarah sat down under the tree in the abandoned park. They
began to eat lunch in the cool breeze amongst the hot day. No clouds
were in the sky which made for no small breaks from the burning
sunlight. They stayed in the shadow of the large tree for the shade.
I looked at Sarah and smiled. She smiled back slightly and took a
bite of her sandwich. "So what do you think of the school?"
She looked at her sandwich for a second and then looked back at me.
"It's fine." She then looked at her watch for a second and blinked for a
few second's. "Oh, sorry, I gotta go! See you in class!" She then ran
off leaving me under the tree.
I sighed. So close, I was so close. Maybe next time........
Amiel looked at the man from across the brick brown roof. It had a
shadow wall up and watched the necromancer. It then sighed and sheathed
the sword and moved a little closer. "What did you want me for?"
The necromancer smiled from the dark hood, his face hidden. He wore
the same black clothes that he did the day before. "I want to talk about
the man who attacked us."
Amiel frowned and leaned on the chimney. The man who attacked them
was Ieler, the man she sold the Necrotome to. "What do you want to talk
about? He's just a fanatical necromancer, much like someone else I know.
The necromancer scowled at Amiel and then sighed. "Really? You
didn't know anything unusual. He is an amazingly powerful mage now that
he has the Necrotome. But look at this."
The necromancer quickly produced a small red circle from his pocket
and threw it at Amiel. Amiel looked at the red circular object and it's
eyes grew three times their original size. "What! Where did you get
this?"
"The mysterious man who attacked us dropped it. Right before the
thunderbolt hit it fell out of his robe sleeve."
Amiel's anger rose toward's the necromancer. "You knew that he was
there yet you never told me, never even bothered to escape the blast.
Why the hell didn't you do these things?"
"Because if I had told you or had moved he would have resorted to
more powerful magic. He is much more powerful then both of us together.
I just threw up a low level shield, to low for him to notice. Injury is
better then death."
Amiel nodded and then extended her hand. "I hate to join up with
anyone, but I think we should work together on this one. But what we
need is some more people."
The necromancer grabbed her hand lightly and shook it. "Very true.
We need some mage's and we need them bad."
Amiel then smiled at that, she had a few idea's. "I think I know
some people.".........
A man who was draped in a blood red robe was waiting in a room of
darkness and shadows. Waiting for the eight time to strike. No one who
survives a battle with Ieler will be alive for much longer!
But right now there were bigger fish to fry. The E.S.F were after
him, and it would be messy trying to get rid of them, and that wasn't
his job. Nikee thought, that was a different matter.......
A man sat on a jet throne in a dark room. He waited for his friend
to appear. And for the first time ever, she was late.
Then a sound echoed through the room, the sound of the large doors
opening. Then the sound of them closing, and finally, the sound of
someone walking up to the throne.
The figure who walked through the door kneeled before the throne.
"Sir. Why did you summon me?"
"Sahia. If you haven't already realized it, it's time for your
report so far." Said a masculine voice
Sahia was confused for a second and then let out a small eep.
"Sorry. I must of forgot. What do you want to know sir?"
"Everything you know so far."
Sahia sighed. "Okay. Well there was massive damage downtown, caused
by some battling mages. But I don't know who they are. Also I think the
E.S.F is after us."
"The E.S.F! What happened? Why do you think their on the mortal
realm, and that their after us?"
"I don't know, but I felt something, something best described as
magical."
"That's still no reason to think it's the E.S.F it could be any mage
in the area your feeling."
"Yes sir. I apologize, I'm just a little paranoid."
"Okay then, now you may go."
And then the woman left the room, closing the door behind her.
Leaving the man thinking in the shadows............

What do you think so far? Weird isn't it. Well please send C&C on
it, I need it.
