Well, I have changed the storyline from my last fic
idea. It is now called "Warnings" instead of
"Foreshadow".
This is the prelude to the actual fiction. Tell me
what you think. Yes, it is a new character story, but
I hope it will be to your liking.
***
Sailor Moon is the creation of Takeuchi Naoko, and I
am not taking credit for her works. The Cheluzin, the
princess, and Suishou are my creations based off of
the Sailor Moon universe. Don't sue me, my parents
would have a fit.
Warnings: Prelude

It was next to impossible to see through the heavy
torrents of rain that shrouded the inner city. The
Senshi of Crystal patrolled the streets, her heels
clicking on the pavement, but not loud enough to be
heard over the roaring downfall. Even though her
seifuku didn't droop, she was still getting wet and
that alone was enough to irritate her.
Her lilac bangs were plastered to her forehead and
covered her eyes slightly, and as many times as she
would push them out of the way, they always fell back
into her line of sight. Grumbling to herself, she
pushed her silver tiara to the top of her head in the
hopes that it would stop her hair from getting in her
eyes. However, the tiara's shape was not one that
would allow for this, and it fell off and clattered to
the pavement.
She had been on duty for over 48 hours due to the
constant threat of enemy attacks, and was dead tired.
Even the magical energy that gave her her powers could
not keep her active much longer.
It had been at least two weeks since the last attack,
and everyone was getting edgy from the suspense. The
princess had ordered more patrols in the hopes that
someone would find out what was going on.
The princess. Her princess. She was more than her
ruler, more than her comrade. She was the hope of the
people, and the single candle in the impending
darkness that was their future. But the princess was
tired, and it showed on her face. Rarely did she
smile... that bright smile that won the hearts of the
people in the beginning, and kept them going through
hard times... these times. It was only the hope that
she would one day smile again that kept the people
together.
The Senshi of Crystal brought her thoughts back to the
issue at hand. It was her sworn duty to protect the
people from danger, but never had she so seriously
wanted some citizen to get attacked again, just so
that nagging feeling sitting in her gut would leave.
She leaned over and picked up her fallen tiara,
letting the bangs fall back into her eyes. Then she
placed it on her forehead and continued her patrol.

About an hour later, the Senshi of Crystal found
herself in the outer city park. She located a stone
bench and sat down, wrapping her arms around her knees
and resting her chin in the valley between her
kneecaps.
She sat like that for a while, letting her eyes relax
and her thoughts wander. The rain had subsided a
little bit, and the loud roaring had become a quiet
tapping. The serenity of the park was enhanced by the
falling rain somehow. The muted colors blended
together, and the lack of voices hinted at a time when
no human had defiled the pristine wilderness.
In the distance, the bells of the palace chimed. She
counted them silently. One, chime, two, chime, three,
chime, four, chime, five... silence.
Something was wrong. It was the sixth hour, and the
bells only chimed four times. She stood up and looked
around. A man and a woman were walking through the
park gates. She ran over to them, and was about to ask
them about the bells when her communicater started to
beep.
She pressed the viewscreen on the wrist communicator.
The screen lit up and showed an image of the princess.
Her face was terrified.
"Suishou! The palace is under attack! They're inside!
The others are here, but we can't fight them without
you!" the princess cried.
"I'm coming, princess!" she said and began to run
towards the palace.
Her senshi powers boosted her speed ten-fold, and her
agility enabled her to dodge the few people that had
chosen to walk in the rain. As she ran, she began to
hear the sirens wailing throughout the city, and
people became more frequent as they came outside to
see what was happening. She chose then to run over the
rooftops.
Jumping onto a nearby house, she continued her trek
towards the palace. Already she could see the palace
gates. She pressed onward.
When she passed through the palace gates, she skidded
to a halt.
The palace was being devastated. Fires burned
everywhere, and the acrid stink of death permeated the
air. People lay about the ruins, mostly dead, but a
few were still alive. They screamed at her, and begged
her for help.
But she couldn't stay. Hardening her aching heart, she
started running again, faster than before, running
from the screams of utter agony, the sorrowful
weeping, and the looks of betrayal that was on every
face she passed by.
The palace was crumbling faster, now, and her only
thoughts were of her princess who was trapped inside.
The dead and injured were greater in number the closer
she got to the palace entrance. The screaming of those
being attacked inside made her run faster.
She passed through the crumbling gates of the actual
palace and ran down the halls towards the throne room.
The marble floors were slick with blood and littered
with the dead. She slipped in a particularly large
pool of blood and fell down onto the wet floor.
Ignoring the horrid smell, she picked herself up and
started to run again, only to stop suddenly when she
heard the wailing.
She was by the woman's chambers, and a loud cry
pierced the air, and her heart. A baby was buried
partially underneath his mother's carcass, and was
covered in blood. Every time he cried, a piece of her
heart withered and died.
She walked over and pulled him out from underneath his
mother and cradled him in her arms. He started to cry
even harder when she lifted him, and she found out
why.
His leg had been bitten off at the knee, but the heavy
weight of his mother had crushed the rest of the leg
and cut off the blood flow to the wound, stopping the
blood loss. When she picked him up, the pressure was
released, and the blood poured out of the messy wound.
The baby's crying soon stopped, and his eyes glazed
over. She stared in horror as the last signs of life
left his tiny body, and he died.
She stood there for what seemed an eternity, shaking
and crying. Her heart had been broken into tiny
pieces, and she couldn't think of why she shouldn't
die as well.
But she then remembered her princess. She dropped the
body of the baby and ran towards the throne room, all
her thoughts on her princess.
The doors to the throne room had been obliterated, and
the once great hall was in ruins.
Her princess was in the middle of the room, her dress
bloody and her face contorted in pain. The Senshi of
Crystal ran to her side, and saw that her princess was
injured. She dropped to her knees by the still form of
her princess and cried. The princess opened her eyes
and looked into her friend's eyes.
"They dug a tunnel under the palace... we didn't
notice until it was too late," She said, her voice
barely a whisper.
"Princess, let me heal you-"
"No!" she said fiercely, "I'll be alright. Suishou,
take my henshin stick,"
"But-"
"Please!"
The Senshi of Crystal took the henshin stick out of
the princess's hand.
"Take off the top ornament,"
She did so, and found a purple crystal rod inside the
stick.
"Take the rod, Suishou..."
"Princess, I can't-"
"DO IT!" she commanded.
She tipped the stick over and caught the rod as it
fell out.
"What do I do now?" she asked.
"Let me touch it..."
The princess reached up and touched the end of the
rod, a faint glow coming from her finger. When it came
in contact with the purple crystal, it flared up and
then entered the rod, causing it to glow.
She watched in fascination as the glow became
brighter, and began to envelope her hand.
"Warn the rest of them, Suishou... warn them of the
Cheluzin..." the princess said, and released the rod.
The Senshi of Crystal was enveloped in a sphere of
light as the palace fell apart around her. The sphere
shot into space and towards a destination across the
galaxy.
The princess closed her eyes. She heard the clicking
of heels as someone approached her. She smiled.
"Has it begun, Setsuna?" she asked.
"It has begun."

C&C welcome, ideas welcome too. Should I continue
this?
Thanks.
