                                        Part 9 of Eternal Sin

My dreams were full of frightening images. I was never one to show
fear on the outside but on the inside I was terrified of everything. Of
my dreams as much as reality. Even though they were not real they felt
real and they amplified the horror of each event. Images of Mya being
stabbed more then once, more then twice but a dozen time. Blood flying
everywhere and organs being ripped to pieces. Alucard being torn apart
limb by limb leaving all the messy blood and guts right in front of my
eyes. And Alex, my brother, slitting his wrists, then his face, and then
finally his neck. They were much worse then reality, but that didn't
mean that reality was pretty.
But I was soon plucked from my dreams by the sound of someone
yelling in agony, it sounded like Dracula. And with that sound I shot up
and looked around. I was not in my room but lying on stone in the middle
of a long hallway.
The hallway was very narrow and the bricks were finally carved a and
laid. The bricks were a blue lighter then the sky. The whole thing was
lit by torches bolted to the wall with magical purple flames burning.
This was not Dracula's castle, it was some place I had never seen
before.
I looked down to see a note on the floor. I quickly picked it up and
unfolded it. Then I read it very slowly and carefully. "I welcome you to
my house. Mya and Dracula are mine, and if you want them come and get
them. Just walk down to the end of the hall and through the door you
will meet me."
I dropped the note and ran down the hall as fast as I could. The
hall seemed to go on forever and I was starting to tire. But I wouldn't
stop for anything, nothing at all. Not even if it cost me my life.
When I finally reached the end of the hall there was a wooden door
with a silver doorknob. I quickly turned the doorknob and entered, the
door creaking a little as it opened.
I looked around the small, cube shaped room as soon as I entered.
The walls were made of the same stone as the hallway was made of and the
room was lit the same way, by magical torch light.
To the left of me tied to the wall was Dracula. His clothed were
torn and covered in blood. His body showed multiple wounds and was also
covered in blood. He was in terrible shape and I had to help him.
Tied to the back wall was Mya who seemed to have no wounds at all,
as though she weren't even touched. She had fallen to sleep somehow, it
seemed impossible in a place like this.
And in the middle of the room stood a woman in a blue robe, Sypha.
She turned around to face me and smiled. "Hello Antin and welcome."
I drew my sword which I always had with me, even in my sleep.
"Sypha. Damn you! Give them both back or you'll die."
Sypha bowed, glanced back at Mya and then smiled. "You may have Mya
back, but Dracula's mine."
"Why do you want him so much?" My voice was full of spite and it
showed, no matter how hard I tried not to show it. Alucard had always
said to show no emotions to an enemy, otherwise you would give him or
her the other hand.
At my comment she glanced over at Dracula. And then asked him a
question. "Should I tell him the truth?" Dracula nodded slightly and
then Sypha's smile widened. "Good." Now she turned her attention back to
me. "I am not just Sypha, I am also Dracula's wife."
My eyes widened at what she said. "What are you talking about? That
can't be true."
Sypha nodded. "I'll tell you a little story of mine because I want
you to understand how I feel. And maybe then you'll go, because I don't
want to kill you. Okay where to begin." She paused for a second and then
continued. "Ah yes, my death. I was his wife until I was called a witch
and killed by villagers. He couldn't live without me, even though I told
him never to bring me back, I valued humanity to much. But he brought me
back, and I hated him for that. He defied my wishes and turned me into a
monster, a vampire. And so that's why I joined Trevor on his quest, for
revenge. But I didn't feel content with just killing him, I wanted him
to suffer like I suffered. That's why I brought him here."
I was surprised but I tried not to let it show, but unfortunately it
did. For only a second though before I quickly covered it up in a hard,
stone like visage. "Then why did you capture Mya? And why did you want
me to kill Dracula."
"First, Mya was bait, just in case you didn't come after Dracula.
And second of all I was testing you, to see if you were good enough. And
you were. You did everything I wanted and expected. You are so
predictable. To put it simply, I tested to see if you were a good
puppet, and you are, bravo." She clapped a little mockingly after the
word, bravo.
Anger swelled up inside of me as I got into a battle stance. "Damn
you! I don't care what Dracula did in the past. I swore that I would
protect him and I will. And I will kill you to do it. So step aside, and
remember what happened to those who didn't."
Sypha pulled a blue long sword out of her sleeve and got into a
similar battle stance. "I have power equal to that of a gods. Now cut
your loses and get Mya out of here while I'm still in a good mood.
Otherwise someone will get hurt."
And so then I charged at her, for Mya and Dracula. I threw three
daggers at Sypha. She easily dodged them and they got imbedded in the
back wall. I then changed to close ranged combat but was quickly thrown
aside as her sword skill was so much greater then mine. I was stabbed
through the chest and then knocked back next to Dracula. I felt the life
slowly seeping out of me just like my own blood. I hoped I would survive
not as much for myself as for Mya who would not take this very well.
Sypha was about to move in for the kill when she was distracted by
another figure. This one was draped in a green robe and he attacked
Sypha with a long, crimson red sword.
The man in green deflected a blow and tried to hit Sypha, but
missed. "He's mine! I'll kill you Sypha to get my revenge."
Sypha frowned and deflected another one of the man's blows. "Your
revenge? I will not hand him over to the likes of you Megami. I want my
revenge, and you will get yours over my dead body." And at that she
struck Megami in the ribs and he vanished in a cloud of smoke.
Sypha shrugged and then turned back to Antin, who was still alive.
With a sadistic look on her face she drove her sword into his chest and
watched all his blood flow out. It would have been a great victory if
she would have lived long enough to enjoy it.
She was stabbed in the back by Mya. Who had managed to cut her bonds
of with the dagger stuck in the wall. Pain engulfed her as the dagger
went straight through her blackened heart. But that was not as bad as
the pain of knowing she would not have her revenge.
Mya watched as the crimson blood flowed onto her hands. And then she
heard the last words which were always spoken by the dying. "I almost
won, but how could I have lost. I had thought up every variable,
calculated every outcome and how it would be caused. But I never saw
this." And at that moment, Sypha died.
Mya dropped the dagger and ran over to my body, which she struck
violently. She then began to cry since I never awoke. She then shattered
on the inside. Every barrier to protect her from insanity broke down.
She cried every last tear that day. After that she was not the same
person, only a shadow amongst the living. She would always remember him,
even if she didn't want to. She loved him so much that crying was not
enough, mourning was not enough. And suicide was not even enough.
People described death as a warm comforting light, but all I felt
was a dark coldness that chilled my soul. Was this the existence I was
damned to? Only time would tell.......
...................................................................................................................

Okay first thing, tranaslations for the japanese words I used. 2 of
them.
1. Megami = God/ Goddess
2. Majin = Demon god.

Now the joke. In the second Chapter when Antin enters the room and sees
all the sad paintings and statues. They were made by Ryan, who was the
main character of my ultra dark fic, The seven sins and virtues.
He's a very depressing guy who is insane to the Shinji extent. He
has gone through a terrible life but is very emotional and ends up
destroying all of mankind. {Read the fic please?}
    Please send C&C.
