       "Kasumi?" Ranma asked in confusion.

"Just stay back, Ranma," Kasumi said, rolling up her sleeves.
"This one's all mine." Producing a large wooden mixing spoon
and holding it before her like a sword, she said, "So, what's it
going to be this time, Hans? French? Chinese? Italian?"

"I was thinking," the chef said, "that this time, we could try
some Cajun...."

There's that. There is also this:

[A male voice over appropriate shots of Nerima]
"If I remember correctly, the Nerima ward of Tokyo is the home of some
the strangest martial arts in the known world. At the hard of this
strange area is the Tendo Dojo, and at the heart of the Tendo Dojo is
Tendo Kasumi-san, the best chef in an area that is also home to the
legendary Kuonji Ukyou-san of "Ucchan's" and Cologne, the
known-throughout-Asia owner and head chef of the "Nekohanten".
Throughout the years, Tendo-san has fed not only the Tendo family, but
also their guests, both long and short term."
[An interview shot of Kasumi]
"I was taught to cook by my mother, and ever since she died, I've been
cooking using her recipes. I try to put care into every dish, and
preserve the memory of my mother."
[The man's voice again]
"She has prevailed against the madness of her home, but how will she
fare today, in Kitchen Stadium, against its champions, the Iron Chefs?"
[Kasumi again]
"I feel very confident. I have my family behind me. I am sure that both
I and the Iron Chef will do our best."
