Hi,
Here is my standard reply to this question: YES. ^_^
There are only a few standard plots. The real question
is how well is the story written?
If this is a story you would like to read then you
should write it. (That's how most good fiction
originates).
If you would like some useful C&C you are going to
have to generate at least two or three chapters for
the FFML. IMO before you start you need to have the
characters, especially YOUR character, developed. Then
you must have a general idea of what's going on in the
story. What is the conflict? And how is this conflict
going to be resolved. Otherwise you run the risk of
writing yourself into a dead end.
1) Develop the characters. Write a short biography of
your new character(s). Birth, upbringing, major events
in her/his life. Physical description, powers,
limitations, etc. Keep this on a 3X5 card or something
similar for quick reference while writing. The SM cast
already have bio's on-line. Keep them handy as well.
2)Conflict: What's going on in the world? Why are the
senshi/new character needed? How are the senshi and
your character going to interact. What is the TENSION
that drives the story. Saving the world? Personal
conflict? What keeps the reader on the edge of their
seat, wanting that NEXT chapter to come out so they
can find out what's going to happen? If you do NOT
have this tension, believably developed ,no one is
going to read the story.
3) Maps. Help you develop the action. I keep hard copy
maps taped to the computer desk while writing. Mark
places where character live and action is taking
place. It's MUCH easier to keep track this way and
allows more believable scenes to be written. IMO it's
MUCH better to say "The Hei Shrine was in ruins, it's
thousand year old timbers a smoking skeleton. Ahead
lay the Imperial Palace, in a direct line . . . etc"
rather than "He ran down the street."
Another helpful thing are all the LIVE CAMS'
scattered around Japan. With these you can look at
places all over Japan. Another big help, IMO, in
developing believable atmosphere.

4) Make a general outline of the story. Who does what,
when and why.
This is NOT hard and fast. Generally I put my
characters into situations and they
do things I did NOT expect. However IMO it's always
best to start with a plan. Especially an idea on how
the story is going to end. This
gives you an idea of where you are going with astory
and lets you know WHEN you get to the finish.
Otherwise it's too easy to have a story stall about
half way through because you've written yourself into
a corner.
I hope this helps. Good luck, it sounds like an
interesting idea.

Hey people!
I was doodling in class (like always) a few days
ago,
and managed to draw a nice picture of a senshi. One
I
had never seen before. I do this a lot, actually. I
make up characters on the spot. This one, however,
caught my eye.
So, whenever I was bored, I would think about
fleshing
her out a bit, and this is the storyline I came up
with:
This starts right after the senshi defeated Queen
Beryl, and they have not regained their memories. A
new senshi shows up and is searching for them, and
is
causing a ruckus. Luna is confused and frightened,
so
she gives the senshi back their memories.
Turns out that this senshi is a survivor of a group
from another solar system, but her princess and
comrades had been killed and/or enslaved by Galaxia,
so she comes to warn them of the threat. This, of
course, was not supposed to happen. She is also not
a
very nice person (you wouldn't be either if your
life
was shattered and you couldn't do a thing about it).
This is all I have so far, and tomorrow during
history
I will try and think of a few more plot ideas, but
this is basically all I have.
Is it worth writing? Any suggestions? Thankies
